  1. Hello i haven't had surgery yet but I'm scheduled for Nov 16th and my program has told me that when you have labs at your pre op appointment they check for nicotine. that may be to scare you into not smoking or may be facts. They say stop 30 days before and it wont show. Hope it goes well for you and i know its hard to stop but don't go back i stopped cold turkey when i knew i was getting WLS. Nicotine make recovery harder and slower. BEST of luck.

June 2020 Sleevers, how are you doing?

CONGRATS to you i know i was not sleeved in June, but i see the weight lost you have listed. That is amazing i don't have my surgery until Nov 16th. i am sooo nervous and talking myself into not cancelling. Hope all went well for you and keep up the good work.
  3. Thank you for the positive words and the information on what to get. I want us all to succeed with this WLS. This was a life changing choice we made and i don't want to fail. (FAILURE NOT AN OPTION).
  4. I've been going back and forth for years thinking i could get the weight off on my own. Been afraid to go under the knife but i guess this must be the right time. i started the WLS program with Memorial weight loss center in Springfield IL and it was sooo fast i was in shock. I always thought it would take months not the case. I have BCBS IL. They had 0 for me to do for approval. I had to do what Memorials program wanted and i was done in 2 months. I chose November so i can make sure i have someone to help me during my recovery. I'm happy for a new life but also Scared. I hope everyone that has had this done or getting it done all the best and speedy recovery. If any advice can be given for success and recovery i would appreciate it. ANYONE ELSE IN SPRINGFIELD IL HAVING THIS DONE (DR ORLANDO ICAZA)
