It took forever to get my date. Finished everything June 17th. Called the office beginning of July and they said I was on the audit list for August but they moved me to July. They did not send for insurance approval until July 30th and I got my surgery date on 8/19. Finally!

My hospital allows 1 visitor between 12-6pm. My husband is going to be there with me but I probably won’t even get to see him after surgery because my surgery is late in the afternoon. I’m just glad I will only have to stay one night.

I’m on a 3 week pre-op diet and can only have fruits, vegetables, broth, sugar free jello/pudding and a protein shake with every meal. However, I don’t like vegetables so this has been interesting so far. Week one is done and let me tell you, it’s been hard.

Gastric Bypass.

@MagentaMom My surgery is the same day and my birthday is in September also. (9/22) Unfortunately wasn’t able to celebrate it before I started the pre-op diet because they called me to tell me the date and I had to start the diet the next day. Good luck to you!

September 10th! So ready for this to finally be happening!

3 weeks! I was called on 8/19 and my surgery is 9/10.
