I have a friend of mine, i admit she is nuts, she has the craziest ideas, one of them was that she wants to do her OWN FILLS by HERSELF!!!! She was reading through websites and how fills are done and now she is totally convinced that she should do it alone, because she is unhappy with her fills and her doctor wont give her more than 0.5 each visit and the doctor will stop giving her the fills because she is loosing 4lbs /month. So now she wants her fills ALONE!... I have tried convincing her that its a bad idea, if anyone of you here knows the risks, please place your message and i will let her read them! Thank you.

I have been reading about it now, many say they have the same issue, one said she had a slip! I think we should have the barium swallow. My doc said i should stop eating & drinking @ night, i did that but still the same problem happened! I really cannot sleep @ night just from coughing

How long have you been banded? Its been 2 years for me, and i currently have this same problem! When i get a fill, i sleep, wake up choking, coughing, and many times, Water running from my nose, ONCE i saw the same cheese stuff, bas was wayy too sleepy to give it attention! How long have you been banded?

Well i do not know how many CC's i have , but what i do know is that every 3 or 4 months i go to see my doc and i get one CC then the next day i go back and remove half a CC because i cannot swallow my saliva! Then for the next one month, i am chocking on my saliva when i sleep, or i vomit everything i put in my mouth, after that im back to normal! YES i can eat a whole burger but with ONE BUN only, and it takes me hours to finish it, but i eventually do finish it! NO i do not eat on occasional basis, but just when i really do not feel like eating anything but junk! I have maintained my weight for the past 6 months now, and i really want to loose more, but i guess my body is just tired from years and years of diets, so im taking things slowly! I love my band, but i hate it when i am with people who do not know i am banded yet i have to run to the toilet and vomit telling them that i am sick hehehhe So yeah, i can eat a burger with fries because i love it!

I have been banded since one year and a half, and never had this experience before! I had a fill like 2 weeks ago, he gave me 1CC Extra (i dont know whats my total but maybe 8 or 9) but it was too tight for me, then i had an unfiill to half a CC. He pushed my port a bit to see if i was in pain and all was normal. Since then, whenever i slept, either on my back, on my belly, or my shoulder, i keep coughing, and then BAM involuntarily puking my saliva. I havent had a good sleep in 2 weeks and its killing me, i cough as if i have the cold or something! I hate my doctor, thats why i do not see him only for fills, he is materialistic and his checkups costs a lot and i seriously cannot pay 100 usd everytime i have to see him, neverless the costs of checkups if any. Is this normal? should this happen? Keep in mind that there are no other doctors next to where i live that do this procedure! Thanks

HI! i am considereing Brachioplasty (armlift) BUT i am afraid of the scars, you see i hate my band scars and i do not wear 2 pieces swimsuit because of my scars, and i really want to have an armlift so i can wear sleevless things, BUT to have scars i dont know!! are your scars still showing, my wedding is in four months, so i guess i should do the surgery soon, what do you recommend? thanks. do you sometimes wish you did not have a band instead you had a sleeve?? I was reading on the sleeve website how easier it is than the band! What do you think? I mean, i love my band, been banded for a year now, but it gets painful at times when you PB or slime or just cannot eat that yummy food because you are afraid that you might throw up! Also, i have been reading the complications here and it got me worried! What are your thoughts on this? :blushing:

Do you think that eating while you are not hungry is better than eating while you are hungry? I have not been feeling the urge to eat lately, and i have been loosing weight a lot! but im never hungry, i just eat to eat because im either bored at work or afraid to die from empty stomach LOL Should we eat when we are hungry or not??

I can eat almost everything but bread LOL! pizza is a big NONO i only eat the toppings hahaah! I eat in small portions now, and most of the times i just hate eating :smile2:

Yesterday, i also woke up alarmed and forced myself to puke, and only saliva foam came out! Remember this feeling i only have @ night when i am sleeping and wake up alarmed! I cannot go to the doctor as i cannot afford him this month (he charges 150 USD) and i am self pay all the way, also if he wants me to have tests i cannot pay them.. I weight myself DAILY when i wake up and i am pissed when i see the numbers go up and then the next day they go down :thumbup:

Well im 27 also, not married :thumbup: but i did my band one year ago and I LOVE IT! Also, sometimes parents can be hurtful and not know it! My mom always used to tell me , i should loose weight, im too fat, look at my love handles, or my belly, bla bla and i used to eat more! I had my band, and i told none of my parents and they think im loosing on my own LOL, Just to show them that i have the motivation :eek: Anyways, good luck :thumbup:
