I am 37 years old, a wife, and mother of 2 boys. I'm also a teacher. I'm at the beginning of my journey and have some way to go. I went through this journey in 2014, got my surgery date, and chickened out. I only wish that I would have found this website then for support. I don't plan on chickening out this time as I know that it will lead to a healthier me. I have started listening to a podcast entitled, "Weight Loss Surgery Podcast by Reeger Cortell" in which I learned of this website. Truth be told, I don't recall having my heart set in this journey in 2014. My mother had just past away and maybe I was looking for something to focus on other than her death. I don't recall being prepared for any of the nutrition or the surgery so it is probably better that I didn't go through it then. Here I am again but this time, I want to be prepared and do things right.
