HI I HAD LAP BAND SURGERY IN JULY 2010 I DID NOT TELL ANYONE. MY FAMILY NEVER HAVE ANYTHING GOOD TO SAY ABOVE WLS . MY AUNT HAD GASTRIC BYPASS IN THE 80'S LOSS A LOT OF WEIGHT (400-171), BUT SHE AGED AFTER SHE LOST WEIGHT EVEN HER KIDS SAID SHE LOST TO MUCH WEIGHT(REALY) THEY DID NOT TALK ABOUT HER BEING ABLE TO WALK UP THE STEPS OR HAVE A GREAT BLOOD PRESSURE ETC.....YOU WOULD THINK I COULD TELL MY AUNT,BUT SHE TALKS ABOUT MY COUSIN WHO HAD RNY, BUT HER WEIGHT LOSS WAS NOT AS MUCH AS HERS (319-250) ANYWAY I NOW HAVE A INFECTION IN THE LAP BAND PORT AREA AND IT HAS NOT HEALED SO I WILL BE HAVING A REVISON TOTHE SLEEVE IN A FEW WEEKS

Hi My incision was just above my naval and the port is below my left breast. I haven't had and pain it's been over two weeks since my surgery. There is a bruise at the port sight and the incision near my naval is almost healed....in a few week there will be to signs of me having surgery.

Hi I felt I could have return to work in two to three days, but I took to weeks. I was told not to lift anything over 20lbs.

Hi That why I'm not telling anyone when I have my surgery.......this is just a suggestion have your lapband surgery,but don't let your family member know you did it remember it's someday surgery so when the weight began to come off then he/she will think you are doing it alone,but if that family member live with you that may not work.:smile2:

Hi I have Horizon/BSCS Direct of New Jersey and they required a 6 month nutritionist visit November will be my last appt with the Kingley Institute I only lost 6lbs (on there scale anyway) I started at 224lb on 5/14/08 and as of 10/28/08 their scale read 218lbs,but when I went for my pre-opt appt I weight was 213lbs on 10/22 and I saw my obgyn on 10/23 weight in as 213.7lbs. My experience with Kingley has been one big sale pitch,but that just my experience when I reminded the nutritionist if possible to have my letter ready for the insurance company when I come in for my last appt she said I think you need to continue with me not once a month,but every 2 weeks so I ask her to give me a copy of my records of all the time she took my measurement etc.......ohhhhhhh she didn't keep a record or keep up with my measurement,but I made sure I said at each visit to say(boy I lost a lot of inches to see if she would take my measurements) anyway I said my PCP will have the last word. Sorry if I went on & on,but I needed to vent

Hello All :regular_smile:I hope this help I saw both bands and they both were round on the outside,BUT when saline was injected in the lapband the plastic part filled out and was round and the realize band had a traingle look to it as if it wasn't:rolleyes2: completely filled......:thumbup:GO WITH YOUR HEART I THINK HOW MUCH WEIGHT YOU LOSE IS UP TO YOU.
