I had my surgery on July 3rd and within 3 weeks I lost 20 lbs, but unfortunately since then I have only lost 2.5 lbs. I know the early weight loss was unusual but I wish I hadn't messed up by drinking with my meals and slowing down my weight loss. I had my first fill Aug 15th but it still not that tight. I know we need to do our part in the process but I wish the band was tighter to force me to eat just 1/4 cup of food at a time. I still have hope though. I guess that's what matters. -

I'm using my sister's lap top at her house. I was saying that I really don't have access to a computer that often but if you would like you can email me at work since that's the one I am on the most. It's khastings@bunkerhillinsurance.comWhen did you have your surgery? I had mine on July 3rd. I lost within 3 weeks 20 lbs, but have only lost an additional 2.5 lbs since then. I had my first fill on August 15th. I've notice a little difference like if I don't chew well enough it will come back up. I had to learn not to drink with my meals which is why I was losing there for awhile, but I have this down now. I just wish my fill was more because there are times when I can eat more than 1/4 cup of food. I know it takes effort on our part too and we shouldn't just rely on the band but I guess we wouldn't be here if we didn't have eating disorders. I really need to talk to people who know what I am going through. I girl I work with had it done two years ago for a total weight loss of 70 lbs but she has a food addiction so she constantly cheats and like she has told me before that I should learn from her what not to do. I just want to talk to people who are doing it right to encourage me on my adventure. Look forward to hearing from you and have a great Labor Day.

Anyone in Katy Tx need a workout partner?

Sounds good to me. I live off of Mason/Provencial in those new apartments back there. We also have a good workout room if we want variety but I'm sure they are all the same. I usually get home from work around 4:30 so I am flexible about time. No children also so I am free and clear for the workout. -
I had heard of a group that meets at the Starbucks on Fry and Kingsland Blvd. but I'm not real sure if they are still meeting. They were supposed to meet last Sunday but postponed it till this Sunday. I say if there are enough of us on this site that live in Katy we should try and start one ourselves. Respond if you are interested in starting up a group.

Well here is a little bit about myself. Weighed 299 day before surgery. As of date I have lost 18lbs but that stopped a week ago. My first fill will be on August 15th. I live in Katy Texas, 42 yrs old, divorced, no children. Looking for someone to help me with support when I have those weak moments and of course help with eatting right.:tt2:

I was banded on July 3rd 2008 and I am in the last stages of the liquid diet. I am not due into the Dr's office until August 15th. My question today is, where do I find out how to contact the lap band group that meets in Katy Texas? Also, has anyone else experienced water BM's because of too much salt (from soups/broths)?
