Hi everyone! I’m new here and I’m very excited to be part of the BariatricPal community. I finally did my Gastric Sleeve procedure on the 5th of August 2020 (yay!), so I’m at 12 days post-op. My weight loss has been great, i started at 85.5 kgs (188 lbs) and I’m currently at 77.9 kgs (171 lbs). I’ve lost about 7.5 kgs (16.5 lbs) in about the first 9 days. However my weight has been stuck on the same number for a few days now and I was scared I might have done something wrong. How can I make it change again?it’s been affecting my attitude towards my weight loss. As per my prescribed diet, I am still on soft food and liquids. I know I’m still very early in my journey and there will definitely be more weight loss to come especially during the first 6 months; but I was wondering if anybody else might have experienced this and what they did to change that? Thank you sooo much for the support ❤️ With love, Oshah

I am so sorry he has not been supportive or understanding of this decision, I know how it makes a huge difference when the people we love put effort into understanding us and being there for us. It seems that he does not see the value in having a more confident, happier, healthier girlfriend and what a difference that could make in so many aspects in your relationship, your life, your mental and physical health. This decision is not about him, it is for you and about you; believe that! Please do not feel guilty or that you owe him anything from what you chose to do for your own health.

Things I won't miss about being fat!
osherz replied to ChubRub's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I won't miss being compared to big or round animals (hippo, seals etc.) instead of cute little ones when given nicknames (it sounds silly but it does hurt!). I won't miss my thighs rubbing and the sweating in my back fat!! I won't miss people grabbing my back fat to remind me of the weight i put on. I won't miss worrying about being the biggest person in the room. I won't miss people judging or criticizing my lifestyle simply because I was bigger. I won't miss people telling me how "I gained so much weight" infront of a crowd as if I was not aware of it. I won't miss being called the chubby girl. I won't miss feeling guilty after eating. I won't miss feeling insecure at any social event due to my size. I won't miss feeling tired all the time. -
That makes a lot of sense, especially with water retention! Mine was extreme!! Thank you @Hop_Scotch!!
