  1. Hi everybody, A little background info: Had vsg in Fall 2012, lost 120 lbs, felt amazing! I got married, had a baby in Fall 2014, gained weight. Had another baby in Summer 2016, gained even more weight. I sought the advice of my bariatric surgeon, he recommended full bypass, and gave me a goal to lose 15 lbs, before he would schedule. Well, I've lost 40 lbs. I feel like I should be able to get back to my goal weight (165lbs) without having a bypass...but the task of losing another 80 pounds seems almost impossible. Has anyone on here, lost that much weight, without additional surgery? Thanks for reading.

    Reset

Trying a reset this week. Today is my second day, and I know that I have gone to the restroom at least 10 times since I started. Breakfast: Premier Cafe Latte Lunch: Premier high protein chocolate shake Dinner: protein and 4 oz non starchy veggies Snacks: sugar free jello and sugar free Popsicles Which one of these is the culprit? 🙄
  3. Today makes 1 month since I started my diet reset, and I'm down 12 pounds. I was the same weight for almost 2 weeks, and it was torture, but I'm so proud of myself. Total 52 pounds down from this time last year. [emoji173][emoji173][emoji173] Sent from my SM-G975U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Stall?

How many days without any weight loss quantifies a stall? Sent from my SM-G975U using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. Yes! Kick it into high gear. I should have started as soon as I was done breastfeeding. I was at goal (165), then gained up to 205 with the first one. I never made it back down to goal, then got pregnant again, and got up to 260 with that one. [emoji15][emoji15][emoji15] It took me all the way until last August, weighing 272 (almost to my presurgery weight of 288) to finally get a little serious about weight loss...not that serious, though. I've "only" lost 50 pounds over the last year (8 of those pounds was with a diet reset that I started last week). I could kick myself for not trying to get any off after the first baby...the hill wouldn't have been as high. Oh well, you live and you learn. You'll jump right on it, as soon as you're healthy enough! [emoji847][emoji847][emoji847] Sent from my SM-G975U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Reset

Today is day #8, I'm down 8 pounds, haha. It hasn't been as hard as I thought it would be. I do liquids only, throughout the day, and a lean protein with non starchy veggies in the evening. How many years out are you from WLS?

    Infamous stall?

Oh gosh...I will be dying by 11:30am.😩😩😩 But...when I hit the stall, I will try. 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️

What method of IF are you doing?

    Opinion

Do ya'll think those low carb-keto snacks and desserts are a slippery slope to falling back into bad habits? Those "brownie thingies" sure look good. 😩

    Opinion

I was never a fan of diet drinks. I would rather just go without...I did find a brand of sparkling water, that I like and Crystal Light mango tea is one of my faves. Those L Dr. Peppers are what got me here, and I try to remember that, before choosing the bad stuff.

You can't forget sodas. I get so excited thinking about that first sip of a L Dr. Pepper w/extra ice from McD. It's been 6 days since I last had one, trying to stay strong. 😩

    Opinion

Yes, I am actively trying to lose, years after falling off from vsg. I was just curious. I have a horrible sugar addiction, and that brownie caught my eye. 🙄
  14. Woke up down 5 lbs, and although I know it's water weight, it still makes me happy...the cravings hit me hard last night. Let me mention that I'm going to caffeine, carb AND sugar withdrawal. I killed the cravings with 2 dill spears and a tablespoon of PB...but I sure wanted another tablespoon. I drank a bottle of water and MADE myself go to bed. Night time snacking is my worst enemy. 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️

    Sleeve revision (re-sleeving)

Does it really resolve IBS? I wasn't in the market for revision, but this would be worth it! Is there research on how it improves IBS? What is the recovery period? I had vsg in 2012, need to lose 80lbs to get back to goal...which I'm committed to seeing this through, but I'm just off of an IBS flare up, and it's horrible.

    Gained almost all weight back

We're in the same boat, so we can encourage each other. I had vsg in 2012, followed by a baby, along with weight gain in 2014...followed by another baby, and even MORE weight gain in 2016. Just started a diet reset 2 days ago, and I'm feeling pretty good about it. I'm 80 pounds away from my goal weight with vsg...so this won't happen overnight. How are things going for you?

    Reset

You're right! Today my rings were looser on my fingers, and I know I haven't lost that fast! I wish! Thanks.
  18. Hi there! I'm with you on the struggle. I had vsg in Fall 2012, lost 120 lbs. Had babies in 2014 and 2016, so I never even made it to the 3 yr mark at my goal weight 😫. I've so far lost 40 pounds, on 1200 calories per day, and I'm starting a reset today. I never thought to try Phentermine, but I will be making an appt to get some this week! The struggle is very real! We can encourage each other. I am not at all interested in revision, at this time.

    Weight gain after sleeve

WOW! If I could lose 100 pounds. Mind blown. I'm looking for that motivation that helped me stick to my post op diet to lose the 120, right after surgery. Thank you for encouragement. 😊

    Weight gain after sleeve

Well...it took me 2 yrs to lose that 40 pounds. I had a lot of ups and downs, but when I was rediagnosed with DM and HTN, I knew I had to get serious. I won't say that bypass is completely off of the table, it will just be harder to take care of my self with a 4 and 5 yr old. Most of it is fear, that I will have this drastic surgery, and still gain the weight back. Sorry for the sob story. Thank you for the encouragement. 😊
