Does anyone use the wii fit??
terilynn112 replied to KTATOM's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The Jillian game isn't as much fun as I had hoped, or as much a work out as I had hoped, but it's something different. You actually run on that one, but it's got a delay. So it's hard in that way. Well gotta run get the boys ready for church. teri -
WTG Debbie, and Simone. I'm going for 215 for my birthday (2/5) since I didn't make it for Christmas. Not disappointed in my band, but in me... but I'm still working hard. Teri

terilynn112 replied to ukcatsfan's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I didn't make my christmas goal, But nearly did. I'm hoping to be at 200 by v-day. Not that I much Celebrate it. Depending on the day it's either a 22 or a 24 pound weight loss. Teri -
Sounds like you're where I wanna be  I'm at my third fill, but only at 3.5 ccs (approximately). I have had to learn to slow down. That is such a difficult concept, especially with three kids  You Rock Becky. I miss hearing from you. Teri

The band has totally set my sex drive on fire... it was hot already, but man, feeling better about myself has done wonders! That said, I had a 2 week period after banding I wasn't to have sex (i waited one week)> teri

Prayers are all anyone can do. It's just really taking the boom out of all this. Exercise is difficult enough with the cold weather, but add the sick kiddos'... and it's a real bitch (can we say that here? ) teri

I'm sorry about Dr. Boss. I didn't know him or his passing. It's sad that we've lost a dr that treats obesity. I'm down, and depressed. Not for the whole weight issues. But more for the whole kids issue here. Two of my kids are sick or were... One has improved dramatically. The other is still struggling. One has had a joint bleed, I've had to watch closely. And my smallest son has had two BIG seizures, one landing him in ICU. Teri

i can eat much more than 1/4 of a cup. I can eat a full cup, and if I want to push it 1 1/2 cups. But I don't choose to often, because it's just not enjoyable now. teri

I'm not sure what TBL is... But The actual surgeries are pretty accurate. Course only few dr's in my area do the over 450 pounds area. My own surgeon's don't do over 400. They are much more technically difficult, and require special beds, etc. My banded life is very similar to those of the banded on the show. However, by their website, they require liquids longer and mushies longer than my surgeon. They are also much more aggressive with their fills. My surgeon won't give more than 1 cc at a time. They've been seen on tv to do more like 2 or 3 ccs. Only thing negative I see... is they show all patients as successes. Unfortunately there are some that fail. However they did have one case, where the woman had a band placed when they first came out. She had some problems with it, and basically didn't follow band rules. She ended up actually gaining weight, and went for a bypass. They were able to do it without removing the band, because the band had erroded into her stomach. She had a dramatic weight loss. Teri

I'm having a bit of a time with it too... and emotional eating. My kids are sick, Two spent the evening in the ER. I think I'm ready for spring. Teri

liquids for 2 days then mushies for 2 days, to reduce the swelling that pb'ing will cause. I don't always follow that though. Teri

Pics and info for new Realize-C band
terilynn112 replied to Trace Curry's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
thank you for sharing that, and contrasting the two brands. I wish I'd seen that before my band, as I would have loved a low profile port. I already have a lump where mine is placed. -
Medicare paid for mine. Although I'm 37. teri

I have pb'd once... ouch! I was eating, and my son came up behind me and smacked me on the back, causing me to prematurely swollow my food. OUCH that hurt. I checked with my dr and it's ok, because I have done fine since, but he had me go on liquids for 24 hours to make sure. teri

sounds great to me

But that report is based on the WII SPORTS that comes with the system, not the wii fit. So I find it totally useless. My surgeons had never heard of it until I spoke of it June 5th. They had me bring it to the next support group (july) and my son showed it. (i was embarrassed to) And since then they actually recommend it to other couch potatoes like me teri

Truthfully, I think he thinks I'll be less income for him. Everytime I go in it would be charged as a extended visit. Even if all he did was write new scripts. So that's my personal opinion. And of course he wouldn't need to write so many with me being healthier. Teri
