HELP- I have a cold - fill is tomorrow
terilynn112 replied to debbieperez55's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
It happens. You saw the err, and corrected. I wish I could figure out what is going on with me. I seriously have been gaining, and I'm not eating any different, except less carbs, bumped up my exercise. I'm getting so discouraged. But I'm not giving up. teri -

Glad it went well. HUGS -
That will be so awesome. I have also found more money in my budget. Which is nice, since I'm spending more money on clothes now I'm gonna post a new topic, because I need some advice. So if you see this in an email update, please if you have 5 minutes, pop in and help me. I'd really appreciate some advice. teri

HELP- I have a cold - fill is tomorrow
terilynn112 replied to debbieperez55's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I hope all works out fine. Why can't you have anything after midnight? I can eat right before my fills. Then it's liquids afterwards. I hope you get this long overdue fill. I also hope you feel better REAL fast. Teri -
When my band was placed they told me that byetta can't be used post op. They told me something about it may damage the band. I don't really remember. Truthfully I haven't needed anything since the band was placed, except some OJ I've actually had some lows. I'm off all diabetes meds, and doing great. teri

WTG! teri

I took just the byetta, and two shots a day. I'm off, have been since the day of my surgery. My surgeon told me that there was some damage the byetta would do to the band. Plus I haven't needed anything. My sugars, even after eating chocolate, is great. Teri

I started out at 270 (april last year), and the morning of my surgery I was at 242, and am currently bouncing between 225-227. Wtg you guys. I had my first bout of stuck. I had swallowed a piece of lunch meat, quick trying to answer the phone. I should have just spit it out. Hind sight ya know. Well it stuck so bad, I heaved, and pb'ed for like half an hour. It all came back up, more than that last bite. I've been on liquids/ mushies since. I'm not enjoying it, but it just feels like I'm swollen. Teri

I am the only one frustrated?
terilynn112 replied to als74's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I too get frustrated. I have even taken time off the boards because of it. Like some of the others, I've just chosen not to read/reply to threads like this now. I refuse to enable someone, who isn't or can't follow post op guidelines. That said... and not that I'm perfect, I followed them. I feared what would happen if I didn't. It's a matter of a couple of weeks. Can't we control our eating for a couple weeks? Teri -
I haven't been getting notifications either. I am still at the same weight, so I'm keeping track of my calories for a couple days. Weighing/measuring everything i eat. I need to figure out what I'm doing wrong. Teri

my current mini goal is to get under 215. I'm on most days 9 pounds away. The last few days I'm 14 pounds away. Not to happy about the gain. But with this fill, and being on liquids now yesterday and most of today, I'll hopefully break down that number some. I did the leslie sansone walk slim video today. I've been doing 2 miles twice a week for about 2 weeks. I did the full video today... including the band workout. I'm pretty sore tonight, and seriously needed a shower after I was done. Hopefully I'm not terribly stiff tomorrow, as Matthew has therapy in the morning. Anyway, back to the workout. It's not a technically difficult video, and doesn't require special stuff. Doesn't have any crazy music or anything. I enjoyed it. I actually kept up with it first tries in each section. I'll attempt it again tomorrow, in hopes that I shake things up again. Maybe the weight will start moving again. teri

How much did you lose 4 months out?
terilynn112 replied to Yayforme's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Since surgery I'm between 17 and 19 pounds down. Total I'm nearly 50 pounds down, but I did a huge pre op thing. I'm doing the whole "pouch test" thing now, as I had a fill, and the dr and I talked about it. So liquids again today. I lost 2 of the 4 I gained this week. I think it was a Water gain, as I've spent all day and night in the restroom urinating. Kindda like I'm in that TOM thing... but shouldn't be. teri -
I do wii fit nearly every day. It's more fun than real exercise, so I enjoy it. teri

I had my fourth fill today. I'm up to around 4.1 ccs in my 10 cc band. I can feel a difference with swollowing Water right now. I"m on liquids today, mushies tomorrow. I'll know more by saturday. I actually gained back a few pounds and freaked out and called my surgeon to get a fill early. teri

A couple of questions... if I may. How long is this challenge running? Like to march? Or A holiday? Because I have short term goals and long term. I'm in the valentine one, that someone is running here, but it's really not working for me, in the set up. But if this is like the "last of 2008 challenge" I'd like it. teri

good thinking. I'm here. I'm alive, and I'm eating tons less than I used to. So I guess I'm doing good. teri

I'm calling tomorrow for my next fill. As scheduled right now it's almost a month away yet. YUCK! I am however doing ok today with emotional eating... and it's been a real emotional day. When I did eat, it wasn't as good as it should have been (Had some fries). But I only ate 3 or 4. Brandon counted even. He says 3, but I'm pretty sure it was 4. LOL. why so emotional? A taxi nearly ran over my son, and then starts screaming at me. I called from a walmart pay phone what he was saying to the taxi line, and the threats he made, and because neither of us could hear the other end, I had to pretty much yell. Well relaying the curse words and threats he made to my son and I (my son is 12) offended this lady walking in. I told her to mind her own ****ing business. She actually had me removed from the store. I got kicked out of walmart. How rediculous is that? So Price Chopper got my 150 dollars in groceries this week. And if that's not enough... my youngest (by 1 minute) has cerebral palsy. The pastor of an aquaintance of mine just loss their son to severe cerebral palsy (complications of). I've known since Friday, and am having a real hard time dealing wtih it. I did emotionally eat some friday. Saturday I had some chicken broth, and a chocolate chip cookie all day. Today I had toast for breakfast. Lunch was a small piece of turkey (maybe 2 ounces). Dinner? Um... half a small thin piece of pork, so maybe 2 ounces again. Oh and the 3 or 4 fries shoestring fries at that. My stomach is just off with all the stress. Well I must run. Oh I haven't weighed myself since Friday. Teri

I may not be loosing tons of pounds, but what a difference
terilynn112 posted a topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
In my albums of photos, you'll see two photos from when I saw my first dr going towards the lapband placement. That was at 256 pounds. I'm currently bouncing between 222 and 224 and I just did my december photos. Check it out... seriously that is the same door, and my butt is always touching the door. So there is no space between me and the door. The before photo I'm pretty much touching both sides of the door, the current one has quite a space I'm not covering  That made me proud. teri -
i've had a bunch of people at church say to my mom is she sick? she's loosing weight. My mom often says no she's working hard to loose. But have they said one word to me? NOPE! Most of my family doesn't say anything either. My mom is encouraging. Thank God for her. Teri

My fills fortunately don't hurt. It's just getting frustrating getting where I need to be. I actually am up 4 pounds today from 2 weeks ago. Maybe pms-ing, but not sure. I know I'm real emotional. I'll get thru it. I feel real "Full" right now. Maybe some constipation issues again :tongue2: It's been such a long holiday season this year. I'm so glad it's over. Now I can focus on exercise, and not on shopping for gifts, or finishing up christmas crafts. Teri

OH I'm also 3 fills in, and hoping for my 4th next week. I have some restriction, but not much, as I found out today. I ate anything and everything I wanted, and just as fast as I wanted. UGH! I'm sure I gained today. teri

I don't drink protein shakes. Haven't since I started on real food. I do go back on them when I have a fill, for 24 hours. Then to mushies, and I try to stick to like tuna in water for my protein. I hated them so bad. Teri

WTG Our goal makers Bunkey1965;CubsGirl17;Long2BThin; and srknepler You all rock! We all did great, but set ourselves goals that either we weren't able to reach for one reason or another. For me I've not hit good restriction, and I thought by 3 months I would have. Ah well.. on to bigger and better things. Teri
