    Fabulous february friends

I know...it was so easy at first and now it's like I was never banded (except I'm not gaining). I'm trying not to get discouraged but it's hard. I've had two fills. The first I had hardly any restriction but lost weight. The second I've had plenty of restriction and lost no weight. I probably should get another fill before school starts but I've been so tight I hate to over fill and then have complications. Like with anything else I guess it's just trail and error.

    Fabulous february friends

I only let my close personal friends at work know. Everyone has been very supportive. I went back for a workshop yesterday and had some say I looked good...well rested...did you change your hair...those kind of comments but no one asked if I had lost weight. It didn't help that the pants I wore are entirely too big and baggy. I'm not worried though...I know it will come off and come off for good. Did you tell your coworkers? I'm hoping when school starts and I get back in a regular routine that I start seeing better results. What do you teach?

    Fabulous february friends

Hi Teacher07... I was banded in February also but it doesn't look like I'm doing as well as you. I'm starting to get discouraged but I know I shouldn't. I keep telling myself I've lost almost 40 pounds and I should be happy but I've been stuck for about a month. Can you give me some of your secrets? What was your surgery date? Mine was Feb. 24th. By the way...I'm a teacher too!

    Just starting

You will do great. Go to your evaluation knowing this it's the first step to a new you. You will be so glad. I'm only eight days post-surgery and I'm already seeing a difference. The liquid pre-diet will be your toughest challenge but just know it's something you must do to get to where you want to be. Good luck and keep us posted.
  5. Hey February Band Buddies! I was banded on 2/24. I had my first really good day yesterday. I feel so much better. I'm added cream soups to the liquids and I'm now able to get down some protein shake. I figured out that water is the key to making me feel better. How is everyone else doing?

    February '09 bandsters?

I had my surgery on the 24th and I am also still having shoulder pain. My incision sites are tender but better. I have a very full feeling every time I try to drink...almost like I need to burp but cannot. I'm still on clear liquids and I'm starting to feel hungry again. Anyone have any suggestions or words of encouragement concerning the shoulder pain or full chest pain? Sharon
  7. I've been on the liquid diet for 11 days. I'm drinking the EAS 20g protein drinks and they are pretty good. The first three days were tough but I know it has to be done. If I drink the protein drinks and make sure I drink plenty of water I'm ok. I can also have broth & sugar-free jello. When I do get hungry between protein shakes I drink the Special K Protein water. It's really good and it works. My surgery is in 4 days and I'm so ready be over this part of the process.

    TLC Edge Dr's...

I'm getting close...I have had a great experience at TLC Edge so far. Everyone has been so nice. I'm hoping Liz calls me soon with approval from my insurance.

    TLC Edge Dr's...

Hi... I'm new to the site and I'm just beginning this quest to be banded...as you can see from my signature below. I've read a lot of positive posts on this site and that makes me want to speed this process along...but I've also read some things that make me worry. I've been to the seminar at the Prestonwood site and was encouraged by Cynthia and Liz's presentation. Any words of advice as I start this journey...I'll take all I can get. Thanks, Sharon

    New in Texas

Hi... I'm also new to the site and from Texas. I'm looking into going to TLCEdge. Has anyone heard anything about them? I really want to do this for me but I'm scared. I have two good friends who have been banded and they are doing well and recommend it highly. I only get scared when I read about others who have had so many problems. I know I will do whatever possible to make this happen for me...but.... How is everyone else out there feeling? Sharon
