I chewed gum! and I had never chewed gum. Doc said chew on some peanuts then spit them out so i chose to use sunflower seeds. The shells kept me busy and I just spit them into a jar. They said you can not eat nobody said you can not chew.

Not for Everyone But I am a believer In IV blasts
Mr Alley Gator posted a topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
THIS MAY NOT BE FOR EVERYONE AND THE COSTS ARE CRAZY I am going to share this wasn't going to but there may be a few out there going thru what I was. I am male and you can see by my stats lost most of my body muscle and mass, I suck at eating correctly and find eating to be a pain in the ass. Drinking water is not my thing either. So I mastered the art of Smoothies loaded up with tons of Vitamins protein and minerals. All home made with the best of the best ingredients and for the last year and a half have made these my main diet and try to eat when I can. So now what. I have dedicated this Covid time to getting back some muscle and pushing the health thing to the next level. At First I thought this was a gimmick but I joined a Group called IHealth Naples. Free Free to google them. I have been taking IV blasts every 10 days for the last 3 Months. I am amazed at the results. These blasts have pushed me up to the next level of health. So if you are trying to push the health even further I will tell you this is a great option. These little bags of health will change you - Prior to me starting I had issues with the hair on my head hurting, Dehydration and just feeling sluggish. Not any more. There are these types of therapy locations all over so you may consider it. Let me warn you It is not covered by insurance and is costly. But for my I ate more then the cost of a Blast prior to surgery so I feel i Deserve it -
You body is on the defense and is locking down. Do not panic just stay on your plan. From a guy who hates water you have to get that up! You will break quickly. Yes soft foods are a pain in the ass for sure

What happened? Please help!!!
Mr Alley Gator replied to only1m3's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You may be pushing it to hard - That first year was a b***h for me also. I had to get my self back in shape and adjust to the weight and body changes. I think your out of fuel. You need eat protien every hour to keep you fuel up also you need liquids and I mean a ton. I snack on nuts and beef jerky almost every day to keep my engine fueled I also keep cold shrimp in my fridge to grab throughout the day. I feel for you it was tough but I think you diet is off balance and you are low on Vitamins and Minerals -

Candid What do I need to Buy for the Kitchen for success
Mr Alley Gator replied to Spiderbaby289's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
NOTHING! You do not need to buy anything The bottom line is you have to use the tool to get healthy. A small Plate can not do it if you put COOKIES in it, I did not buy a single special thing and used what I have in house already. Now what you need to buy is healthy food, have a good plan, and master the art of Smoothies and Shakes. The key to this is you change in lifestyle not your change in plates and accessories. Ok that was harsh but a fact Now if you think buying all these gadgets will make you happy and successful for sure buy them, As for Meal prep You can get containers on Amazon if you do that kind of prep. I personally do not prep for myself but do prep for my kids who are on a insane work out and healthy fitness goal. I love to prep a meal - Chicken Asparagus and fruit and vacuum seal them for them. They just drop them in the Souse Verde open and done! So that may be a way for you to prep for days. For now Set the plan and goals then as you progress down the path get the system that works best for you. You will love this journey and welcome -
Anxious about Covid
Mr Alley Gator replied to ANewJourneyAwaits's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hospitals are very very sterile right now, also you will not be anywhere near the Covid ward. Your staff is a surgery staff and they do not work on Covid Cases. My view is the risk is very very low and I also know that Staffs at hospitals due not mingle with the covid staff. I agree i would be a little nervous also but I would take the risk -
How hunger feels now
Mr Alley Gator replied to Arabesque's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I do not have it that bad my key is to keep electrolytes up and really helps -
That will pass for the first 6-8 Months was difficult but now I have noticed can eat alot faster. Pick at food instead of sitting down - I bought a food lamp and just let the family eat and I keep mine under a lamp picking at it.

Nervous and unsure
Mr Alley Gator replied to TimeToFeelFit's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
a year and a half later - I travel all over and I eat all kinds of foods. Now for the first 6 months kept it simple but introduced new foods into my diet. As for 4oz you need to move past that. I drove me nutz also You just said you like to try international foods, You still can but not by the bucket full - As a trained chef it was hard for me to realize my addiction to quantity - I got thru it I really enjoy cooking for family and friends and still do but i simply pick at it while prepping it and then sit down to about 8 oz of food on a plate. They have 12-18 oz plates but all the food is the same. It will not matter as you go on about the VOLUME of food. By the way now i can eat anything in the world, Only thing that is a pain in the belly for a lot of us is pastas and rice - Heck Find one of my last posts. I ate a dang Mc Rib! -
Finally Sleeved and looking forward to the future!

Screw People who are negative. My wife is in the same situation now. I am thin and she is big. So i understand how it will take a emotional toll. All i here from Family and Friends is when is Kim going to get the surgery? My response Mind you own F@#ckin business. But she gets upset and it makes her sad. Now you just focus on yourself and getting healthy and Happy. Everyone here will guide and help As for staying Corona Free I find it hard to stay empty handed on the boat or beach -
I have not experienced your loss but with two college sons My heart goes out to you. Try and grieve remember the good times and the wonderful times you had, That is what i had to do when my best buddy went down 20 min after i left his house. For years I wonder if I should have pushed him harder to go to the ER or was there anything I could have done. Years later it still bothers me. Sorry for you loss

You just got a body learning lesson You are way to soon to be eating oily spiced kababs! But we all have been there done that and paid for it. Switch to Avocado oil seems to be less aggressive on the tummy - Even now me and Olive oil do not get along

Charcuterie board

I mix in Seafood like shrimp and clams oysters and mussels with mine make a whole platter about noon for the guests to snack on -
First of all welcome to a area of mass confusion. Key is the proteins powders - With the powders you can make all your smoothies and foods like soup. I personally do not buy the pre made ones I make stronger healthier products Amazon has sales of the powders just pay attention to the amount per serving. As for Broth make your own and freeze it - I make vegetable/mushroom, Beef and Seafood. You can get the bones usually for free and it only takes a few lobster shells and oyster shells makes a ton of Broth. I make about 5 gallons at a time and freeze it in quart containers - Most of my contents comes from the food i make for two teanagers
