Does anyone know when we are allowed to drink coffee? I had gastric bypass and it’s over 30days since surgery.

When I take my pills in the morning I throw up and when I take my pills before bed I throw up. I’m 3 weeks PO. Is anyone else having this issue?

I’m 3 weeks PO and I have the worst gas ever now and can’t trust my farts. I also have the runs every day. Maybe it’s from the mushy food or liquids idk. Is this normal?

I had sleeve and hernia repair in 2017. I just had revision to bypass and hernia repair again. I no longer have gerd. I went to a different surgeon this time and my surgery was kinda major bc my whole sleeve was in my chest. I guess my stomach was growing in my chest and had fat and stuff around it. But I’m all fixed up now and I’m feeling so much better. Better surgeon and no more hernia and no more GERD. Good luck with your surgery. -
I had the sleeve and now revision to bypass and 3 wks PO. It is so different then the sleeve I’m trying to figure out if I’m full or ate or drank too fast idk.

I ate egg drop from the Chinese food restaurant bc I figured it was broth like when I was on PO liquid diet. The doc gave me a hard time about it but ended up being ok. I think we all make mistakes. It’s hard. -
Maybe more water. I have a hard time getting my liquids in myself and I know I need more water. I know sitting at the table also helps me.

I originally had the sleeve and the dr told me to try eating half a sandwich as each meal with only chicken, turkey or ham. I put a slice of cheese. The dr also had me try oatmeal for breakfast but make it doughy so you get full….. I hope this helps

I’m so excited to get the surgery over with. . I had sleeve surgery 9/2017 and having complication s. Part of my sleeve is in my chest and it’s painful. Hope to have better luck with gastric bypass.
