Lying about not getting surgery is awful
bufbills replied to GinormousReislin's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Turned out to be be a good thread with a terrible title. I told my family and friends, but do not offer any information to acquaintances unless I'm asked about my weight loss. I'm certainly not ashamed of it. Quite the opposite. I'm proud of addressing a life long issue. That said, I support anyone who chooses not to tell. People can be judgemental and cruel. Weight loss surgery is a difficult decision, that most of us did not take lightly. There Is no reason anyone owes an explanation regarding their weight loss to anyone. -
I eat low-fat walmart brand. Way better than the name brands. I mix 1/3 cup with a tbsp of oikos triple 0 to give it a little flavor. My breakfast most mornings. I actually wake up craving it.

Great work Betty!!!

I think the doc is right. Just keep doing what they tell you.

Preop diet will shrink it. Not worth worrying about. The best advice anyone can give, is to just do exactly what your surgery team tells you to do.

bufbills replied to adamthezombie's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I didn't feel restriction until after the puree stage. I was terrified. Don't worry. The first time you eat one too many bites of meat, It will be "dramatic". Lol Ask me how I know. -
Yea. It took me 4 or 5 days to lose my hospital weight. Way to early to tell how it will go.

I'm a whiskey guy. I started to drink occasionally at 6 weeks, even though my plan called for one year of no alcohol. This is not advice. I'm just posting what I did. For me, I needed as much normal as I could have, without jeopardizing my progress. I have been very successful so far. -
You've got this. I was in a similar place. Do what they tell you, and you will succeed!!

Happened to me. I tore some inside flesh overdoing it. Eventually, the stich dissolved and the pain went away. It was pretty rough. -

Measuring cups. 1/3 cup will be your best friend for a while. -
101 to be exact. Just unbelievable that I've lost that much in less than six months. Went from 44 jeans to 34. BMI started at 44 and I'm down to 30. I'm so thankful that this was available to me.

1/3 cup cottage cheese with a tbsp of oikos 000. -
I was in xl tee shirts that had to be stretched before putting them on. Lol. Now I'm comfortable in a large, and I'm not scared of the dryer shrinking my clothes anymore.
