I had my lapband done about 3 months ago and have 2 fills and I still get hungry and can eat more that I feel I should beable to. I'am going to call my doctor about a 3rd fill. I read and article that said if you still don't get full when you eat than you probably need another band fill. Has anyone else been having this problem?? I wonder if my stomach has not stretched.:smile2:

sorry didn't finish. But I get very discouraged because I' am hungry all the time again. I hope the fill will help this and I can get back on track again.

I'm getting alittle nervous, I had my banding Aug.13th and have my first fill Sept.23rd. But lately I have been able to eat anything just like I did before my surgery. Has anyone else had this happen? I hope my fill helps and that I have not done anything to hurt my band.

Thank You Queenie, Now I know I' am not the only one with the same problem. And Ajoneen the tough love it exactly what I need. I don't eat a lot all the time just once in awhile. I know my guide

I was banded Aug.13th and I think my first fill is sept.23rd.But I have been able to eat anything I want. I eat just like I did before the surgery. I hope my fill helps me or that I have not ruined something.

When do you normaly get your first band fill?? I go back to the doctor sept.23, that will be about 6 weeks after my surgery. I hope I get my first fill because I' am so hungry and have cheated alittle with no ill effects. I'm just afraid I might stretch the little pouch that the band has made. Any thoughts or info???

Hi, everyone. This is my first posting. I have the lap band surgery Aug.13th and I' am hungry all the time. Will this go away after my first fill? Plus I have eaten a few things I shouldn't have and had no problems afterwards. Is this all normal??
-
Hey, how do you get the weight chart on the bottom of your posts??

I don't think if you eat something you shouldn't it will hurt your band. Might upset you stomach... It is really hard and I' am a little disapointed that I'am as hungry as I have been. I get to start the mushies next wednesday. Any good mushy ideas out there.

I was scared after I ate something I shouldn't have and have stuck it out since. Thank you all for your encouraging words. Yes, we will get through this. :wink2:

I also have problems swallowing my pills. Any trick to this???

Thank you. That makes me feel much better.

Thank you Shelley for the pep talk. That is what I need. I can't wait for my first fill. I' am so tired of being hungry all the time.
-
Yes, I'm sure you are right. I just need to have more self discipline.

I have eaten mashed potatoes, soft serve ice cream and believe it or not I have a small pork chop tonight with no problems at all. I' am going to call my dietician monday and meet with her and see if I can go ahead and start on my soft foods.
-
I saw my dr on monday and he didn't seem concerned I was hungry. but I did not tell him I had eaten. Maybe it is because my band is loose. I guess I will get a fill after I go back in 5 weeks.
