first fill coming up need advice

Hi..I was banded on June 2 and had my first fill on Friday. It didn't hurt at all. The only feeling I had was when my Dr. put three ccs in, she withdrew one because I felt a tighness in my chest. I do have more restriction than before but I know I will need a fill again.

    C-Section vs. Lapband Surgery

I had three section in the last five years, and I thought the first 2 days after lapband were way worse than my sections. I actually had to tkae pain meds for the lapband.

I know what you mean with the smell of food. I have 3 small children and they are not dieting! So cooking for them had to become my husband's permanent job until it didn't phase me anymore. Now I am used to it and they are liking protein shakes! Have a good day!

    Anybody from South Louisiana

I am from Baton Rouge, live in Zachary now. I got banded by Dr. Hargroder - - - He is so awesome!
  13. Hi Joelle...for the surgery, I had to have an upper GI, tons of blood work, EKG, and pulmonary test. It was all completed in one day. This hasn't been that horrible of a situation. The first 2 days were very painful, but after that they were fine. In fact, I had my surgery on Monday and was in class on Friday for summer school. So it has been tolerable. I just stay thirsty. Sipping water doesn't cut it for me.

    Good luck!!

    Hi

I was on liquids for the first week, but I was still thirsty. I am drinking a little more often, but now I am on yogurt, shakes, pudding, and tuna! I will let you know if I find a solution to my problem. And good luck to you!

    Hi

Hi everyone. I am new to the site and to being banded. I was banded on June 2 in Baton ROuge, Louisiana. So far pretty good....I just stay thirsty. And I have noticed in the last 2 days that I am getting hungry and 2 ounces of yogurt/pudding isn't cutting it for me. Any suggestion???:confused2:
