  1. I had my surgery on Friday and am very excited about it, but I do have a few concerns. I do not feel like I am geting enough liquids in because I was told to only drink 1 ounce every 10 minutes. I find myself falling asleep during the wait time. It seems like I am sleeping a lot. Is that normal? I am having a hard time getting 3 Protein shakes in, along with the other liquids to equal 64 ounces a day. IS anyone else having this much trouble? Thank you for any responses I can get regarding this. Cheri

Lap Band Surgery on Aug. 1

Thanks for all the support. I just do not want to get dehydrated and then have other issues. I still have not had much today. I may try drinking more in the 10 minutes and see how the band does. I was just told no more than 8 ounces of liquid in an hour and to stick with 1 ounce every 10 minutes. I am literally tired of measuring! Is anyone else measuring or are you just "winging" it?
  3. HELP!! My surgery date is July 18 and I am scared! I see the dietician this Thursday so I am unaware of what the 10 day diet before surgery consists of. I am excited to have the surgery and ready to get on with the banding, but I am scared. Are these feelings normal? Thank you in advance for all the support you can give!!
  4. Thank you for the encouragement, Julie and CONGRATS on the HUGE weight loss!! It looks as though you are doing an awesome job at this! Keep up the terrific work.
  5. Good luck to you! I will be excited to hear from you after your surgery.
  6. Thank you for the wonderful support! Tonight is the first time I have posted. I have read many posts and enjoyed reading, but felt it was my time to get involved in the posts. I am getting banded in Oklahoma City, OK. We will definitely have to keep in touch since we are getting banded the same day. Have a terrific week and once again, thanks for the support!
