I absolutely need a fill - but just a small one I think. Right now I have 9cc's in a 14cc band. I too have to watch it when eating too fast. I PB alot if I rush it. But, as long as I chew it well, I can still eat large portions and I don't like that at all. One good thing though - this past week I've noticed I'm thinking about food a lot less. I don't know if it's the band working or too many other things on my mind! Oh well, whatever works! Take care and have a great week!

I'm here! I just don't come on too much anymore. Staying busy this summer. Thank you for looking out for me - I appreciate it. Weight loss is still extremely low - but at least I'm not gaining. I'm happy about that! Everyone else seems to be doing great! Take care

    Hello from central California

I still can't believe how quickly things are moving for you. That's great! And, yes, you do have to pay your co-pay each visit. For me, the weight loss had been slow, but Dr. B. seems to be satisfied with the results. I think you will really like him. I know I do! I know I would be losing more if I'd get more serious about exercise. I'm really starting to notice the fills taking effect. I'm definitely eating less and there are some foods that just don't agree with me - like bread. I shouldn't be eating them anyway, and now it's really uncomfortable trying too, so it makes it easier to stay away from them. Take care!

    Hello from central California

You're just moving right along - that's great! I'm happy to hear that your going to do the classes. I wish I could go to the support group meetings, but there's just no way to fit it into my schedule! You'll be banded in no time!

Bernadette, Thank you for your continued support as well as your prayers. You're great! I can say that I know I'll be having another fill. I'm now at 8.5 cc in a 14cc band and this last fill doesn't feel any different than the one before. As long as I chew well, I feel I can almost eat as much as before the band. I don't allow myself to do that of course. I can't wait until I hit that sweet spot! Let me know how your 4th fill went. I hope all is well and your able to keep stuff down this time. Congrats on your weight loss! You're doing amazing! I hope your stomach is adjusting to the fill now so you're able to eat.

Good morning everyone, I've kinda been MIA lately. It's been a rough couple of months for me, but I'm doing ok. With the emotional stress of making the decision to file for divorce (we've been separated since February) and losing my step brother a few weeks ago to a massive heart attack (he was only 44) - I'm ready to get back on track. I went in for my 3rd fill yesterday and lost 1 lb for the entire month. I'm just thrilled I didn't gain anything! Plus this morning, I was down 3 more lbs overnight! I'm not logging the 3 lbs on my ticker yet because I wouldn't be surprised to be up 3 lbs by tomorrow morning. My body really does fluctuate that much! I just wanted to stop in and say "Hi" to you all. I hope everyone is doing good and enjoying their summer. Happy 4th of July!

Boy, that was a really old post! I already had surgery 3 months ago. I guess I figured it out huh!

I've been avoiding this site lately. I've gotten so discouraged. I'm not losing near as much as everyone else. I've really only lost about 15 lbs since surgery. Should be more by the time I weigh in tomorrow - I can feel a difference this week I think. I have some restriction but think I will need a 3rd fill in a few weeks. I've been making better food choices but I've got to start exercising again. I stopped by using the excuse that it was too hot - and it was a few weeks ago but it's cooled back down some now! Also, I'm in the middle of a divorce so I've used that as an excuse as well. I'm tired of making excuses and for goodness sake, I had surgery to lose weight! I have to get my act together!

Bernadette - if you can't keep anything down, even Water, then you need an unfill right away. If it really is as bad as it sounds, you need to call the office and demand to be seen or go to the ER. Someone I know on this site that went to the same surgeon as me had to have an emergency unfill because her medication got stuck too! Let me know how your doing.

If I could have had the choice between the band or the sleeve, I probably would have the sleeve personally. Kaiser here doesn't offer it. Just bypass or band here. This is a choice you have to make - just research them both the most you possibly can before you make your decision. Good luck to you! By the way, I'm not unhappy with my band at all!
