Hi, I got my band in Nov 2006. Surgeon was Jerome Manceau and procedure was carried out at the Advanced Cosmetic Clinic in Dublin, Ireland. No problems to date really other than the Clinic has sold out to a new company based in the UK and not allowed to practice in Ireland yet. This is a problem for me in realtion to getting the band filled. Waiting to see if I can get any information from you guys that might help me. I have managed to lose 56lbs so far. Started off at 303lbs, now weigh 247lbs and would like to get down to 154, so another 93lbs to go. Still am pretty bad in relation to junk food. Big problem with chocolate. Still so easy to eat with the band. Have managed to ditch white bread for good. Most meats are a problem to eat. Cant do take aways at all so that is a big plus for me!!!! Love the site, such a pity I did not find it before now. COuld have lost more weight with the support I think. Any support groups that meet up in Dublin???? :thumbup:

Hi Lisa, I am Mary and new to this site also. Its great to have other people to relate to. Had a band fitted in Nov 2006 and have managed to lose 56lbs so far. Need to drop another 90lbs and then I should be done. You have done amazing to drop so much weight. Massive congratulations to you. Give yourself a hug from me! I know I should have been more proactive with my aftercare and made sure I received enough fills. I stupidly thought I was at max with only 3mls in total. Have since found out this in not so, received another 1ml in May and went looking for more to be told Clinic in Dublin had sold out to a UK company. They cannot practice over here yet and there is a wait for registration etc. Looking to see if I can find an alternative in Dublin. Wish me luck as I feel so motivated at present. Bye for now.

Hi, I would be really gratefull if any one could give me a contact for GB fill in dublin at the moment. ACS have sold out to the Hospital Group UK who are waiting on registrations to practice in Ireland. They have no idea how long this will take, possibly a number of weeks. I dont want to wait that long as I feel really motivated again and want to move now. Please help. Thanks. :thumbup: Would love to hear from anyone in Dublin in same position!!
