Hiya Jenn.... Last day today...hooray I'm going home!! The driver will be picking me up in 4 hours...might have a little sleep before then. I got my cigarette yesterday!! The physio came to see me and told me I was well enough to go for a walk by the river....I was out there in about 30 seconds ....but had to come back cos I realised I still had my slippers on!! Was out there this morning too....sat in the sunshine reading a book and watching the boats go by...LOVELY! I'm just drinking my 1st cup of english tea. How good does this taste! I've been on fruit tea all week....real tea is now such a luxury :rolleyes2: Amanda x

I keep walking round the ward..but it's not very big so no where to go really. I go home tomorrow...but don't fly til 5 in the afternoon. And with the time difference it'll mean I get home to my bed about 7pm! Bet you're home already aren't you?

I begged and pleaded but they won't let me out for one!! I can't stay off them....I'll no longer have food...I'll need my cigarettes!!

Hiya Fellow 16ther Jenn!! How you feeling today. I've had a shower...washed my hair and even had half a tub of yogurt.....but still feeling ok. I think I might tell the nurses I want to go for a walk outside (ah ha....cigarette thinking again lol)

Hi Alex...yes I've read about it prob being Gas....seems worse when I've been laying down a while. Been up and about for about an hour so feeling ok now. As I'm in Prague we have a bit of a language barrier thing going on here I say cigarette..they say no......But I'm determined to get at least one in my lungs today!!! Amanda

Hiya!! I'm a bit worried about these Protein drinks you're all getting....I'm in the UK (or at least I will be when I get out of hospital) and not seen anything like this. Someone mentioned slimfast....would that be ok..or Cambridge diet?? Amanda xx

Hiya.....I've been banded!!!!! It all went well but I'm very tired. been on water a fruit tea today...mmmm lol No real pain...just a bit of uncomfort. But I have got neck ache...it seems to be getting worse as the day goes on! Only 2 more days here and I can go home....hooray!! Amanda xx

HIYA!!!!! I'm at the clinic...had pro op tests..everythings fine. They've told me I'll get taken down for the banding about 5......an hour and 20 mins to go!! It's really happening!!! Amanda x

well it looks like I'm on the next list!!! Just 12 short hours and I'll be setting off for the airport!!! Told a friend tonight....thought she try to put me off but she didn't luckily...was a relief to talk to her to be honest! And as she's a nurse she's going to check on my wound, dress them and keep her eye on me when I get back. She's a good friend. Nearly 11pm here so I'm going to try and get some sleep Amanda xx

Hiya!! I'm 3 days pre op and beginning to get nervous!! Not the op itself or how I'll feel after, its the camera down the throat thing! Dreading it... worried my throat will close up and they won't be able to get it in, worried I'll be sick worried I'll choke and die! Can anyone put my mind at rest please....I'm shaking already!! A friend had hers done at the same place last week....no sedation just a throat numbing spray...she hated every minute of it

Hiya I'm new here. I'm having my lap band fitted on June 16th in Prague. Flying over from the UK on 15th and staying in the clinic til thursday 19th. Really looking forward to (hopefully) being in control at last Amanda

Hiya!! No shopping that I know of....but apparently you can go and sit by the river....(not quite the same as shopping eh? lol) But at least sitting by the river reading a book I won't be spending anymore money!! lol Looking forward to it but dreading it a little too. I've been told to not eat heavy food for 48hrs and no food 24hours before....you all seem to be on liquids for 2 weeks...why is that??? Amanda
