I am almost at my one year bandiversary, one month away and i am down 53 pounds. I was feeling so good about the attention and the size of my my clothes going from a 26 to a 20 (tight 18) and from a 3X top to a 1X or even some XL. I started eating wrong foods and exercise was never were it should have been.
I have gotten back on program with eating and excersise is a priority now, I want to loose about 50 more. So I am halfway there!!! Thanks to the BAND!
Congratulations! Learning to chew your food is the key along with making good choices. Planning ahead has been the key to me. Dr. Cywes is tough I go to Dr. Baptista who is sensitive to the struggle. Good Luck!
I'm frustrated, my doctor will not talk cc's with me. I just go in every month and he scolds me for not loosing enough weight. I tell him I can eat more than I should be able too. He goes on and on about it's not how much I can eat it's what I eat. Well that was my problem before the band and I was hoping the band would stop me from eating to much. I wanted to be able to eat foods that I like but smaller portions.
I have lost 45 pounds since banded on 08/05/08 and I have about 50 mor to go.
To make matters worse I am a Bookkeeper therefore numbers and records are my things, and my doctor will not talk cc numbers with me! I'm beginning to dislike him and I'm loosing more patience than weight.
I call it my new fat, I've lost 42 pounds since my surgery date of 08/05/08. The most weight I have ever lost and most of the time I feel good and look much better than before, but I sometimes get depressed because this is my new fat. We forget so soon how far we have come. I look at old pictures and old clothes and realize, I'm doing good. My husband even commented that my stomach isn't nearly as close to the steering wheel as it use to be. So, I just keep with the course of my new lifestyle and embrace it.
:mad:My doctor has not told me what size band I have, nor will he tell me how many CC's of fills I have had. I have had 2 fills since my surgery on 08/05/08. I have lost 28 pounds and I want to lose about 75 more. I am a Bookkeeper so numbers are really important to me, he will not tell me my numbers. I know I can eat way more than I should. I have the ability to overeat, and I do. I wouldn't have needed the surgery if it were easy for me not to overeat. I don't want to be rude but I want to know my numbers. Why does my doctor not want to talk numbers?

My surgery date is Tuesday, 08/05/08. I am very hungry also. Today is my first day of Clear liquids, I did not think my headache would come so quickly. I plan on going to work tomorrow, which I have a desk job. I will probably think about food all day and not be very productive. Sunday meals are a big thing for our family, my family did carry-out dinners today. I thought that was really nice of them. I keep think of the end results!!!
Good luck to you tomorrow.
OMG!!! Ihaven't had a cycle in 3 months and now 3 days before surgery, it decides to come on. I know this has happenned to woman before, how will I handle this during surgery? Will I wear a pad or tampon? Need info, please!!!!!:wink2:
My main question is does anyone feel like something is foreign in there body? I am scheduled for surgery on August 5, and I am wondering if I will feel it when I sleep on my side, or when I bend down?
I have been on this website everyday for about 2 months now, and I have learned some valuable info but, the idea of something in me is freaking me out.

Hi banders, I have been reading post for weeks now and I have been thoroughly enjoying all of the information and insight about banding. I have had all of my appointments. I am just waiting for my primary insurance to deny me then my secondary will approve it.
