June 29 2020 surgery Gastro bypass

Thank You so much -
Hello everyone, I have found a lot of information and helpful support here. Surgery is tomorrow. June 29th, 2020. I was ordered to do Covid 19 test to clear me for surgery. I was really nervous about the test as I heard and read so many stories saying it hurt. It did not hurt, it was quick, they swabbed both nostrils it was a weird feeling, a bit awkward like a fruit fly going up ur nose, n my eyes watered. I had to do 6 months of nutritionist visits, and since I'm near my goal weight for surgery I was told to do 3 days liquid pre op diet. Reading about how others have done for 1 and 2 weeks on liquid diet has given me strength to do my 3 days. I'm excited and nervous of what's to come. I plan on taking pics tonight for my own before and after as well as keep an eye on my diabetes type 2 and high cholesterol and improvements.

Knk710 replied to NurseJaci13's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree about the insurance driver and true they shouldn't hold it against. I pray the date is solid. This Covid-19 def doesn't help with weight stability... Good luck ... -
6 Month Pre-Op Diet Question
Knk710 replied to NurseJaci13's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 203 pounds. 5ft 3 inch. I, fall just under the requirements of having over 40 bmi. However, I have type 2 diabetes and high cholesterol. My Nurse told me that I must maintain my weight for the 6 months of nutritionist appts/visits if not the insurance company will not approve the surgery. Therefore, I can't gain weight (As it will show that im unable to follow an appropriate healthier eating plan now they won't want to risk dangers of side effects if that occurred after) I completed the 6 months of nutritionist visits and my psychological eval. -
Good evening, its my first day on this forum. Glad ur first day of liquid diet is going well. I'm nervous about that. I love my toast n rice. I have surgery the 29th. Tuesday. I have appt to talk to the Dr. I will find out when I go on my liquid diet and the specifics. I'm nervous and excited. Then Covid 19 testing (a bit nervous about that. Some say it hurts) the hospital test all patients pre-op n Dr for overall health and safety.
