I took some pics just before my surgery. Yes I think I am going to do this monthly. Hopefully I can get some new pics lter this week on my 1 month sugiversary
-
Well I will look forward to that! I may have to adjust my goal weight at some point. The last time I weighed 210 (35 yrs ago) I was in really good shape. I m starting to believe that my goal may be south of 210.

Yeah...My mouth was stuck together it was so dry. I was so glad I had the dry mouth spray with me. It was a life saver!

I guess you must need to lose a good bit before you can tell. Right now I cant tell I have lost anything.
-
Yeah I never thought I would need a tummy tuck but I am open to whatever I need to do to be looked at as normal again.
-
Yeah...I cant tell I have lost any weight from anywhere unless I get on the scales. I gues I will have to lose 70 lbs or more before I can tell.
-
I am not sure where 36 lbs was lost from since 1/25 but it sure does not ppear to be my abdobmen or legs.
-
I think what I have is pretty common in fat men. I need to exercise more and hopefully in a few months it will shrink down. Never would have thought I would have comfortably gotten this fat!
-
Big Sue I have only lost 36 lbs since starting pre op diet on 1/25. I cannot tell that I have lost a pound yet.
-
Well I hven't even hit 1 month surgery date but everytime I look in the mirror I am still fat! It will be several months before I get to where I can see I am losing weight. I have lost over 36 lbs and that was like taking a cup of water out of the Gulf of Mexico. I cant tell I have lost a pound.
-
Good luck and I hope your surgery goes well!

I believe I thought I would lose a pound a day after surgery. I have lost 17 pounds in 23 days post op. On a 2nd stall right now which is wierd to have so fast it seems. This must be the 3 week stall I have read about, how long did this last for you? I guess this is just part of the process.

Thanks for your reply. Before I forget, Buy some Dry Mouth Spray today for when you wake up after surgery. This is a good answer. However after years of being overweight I want the scales to move. At some point I hope I can adjust to once a week.

Have any of you guys had Tummy Tuck or Mini Tummy Tuck? What was the cost of the procedure? Why did you choose one over the other? Thanks and I hope to hear back from some of you.

My surgeon and nutrisionist pointed us towards Bariatric Advantage chewables. Kind of like Starburst. What are some other good ones out there? What are you taking?? -

Thanks Cat7. That is the kind of info I am looking for. -
I will try weighing less when the scales are moving again.
-
Thanks...It sucks when you are doing things right and scales are not moving!! Frustrating!
-
Yes it does SUCK! I will go out of my mind if this current stall last for 3 weeks.

Alcohol during maintenance??

Before I got the call on Jan 25th that I was scheduled for surgery on 2/23 I drank just about everyday. I live at the beach in a condo community and several of us get together at the pool in the afternoon for "HAPPY HOUR"., which was usully more like 3 hours. I contribute Booze and milk for a large part of my obesity. I had more liquid calories than solids on many days I believe. Idrank 2 gallons of skim milk a week ( A LOT of calories). I have vot had a cocktail in 52 days and currently in a frustrating stall. I did not tell any of my friends or neighbors that I was having WLS...Well actually I did tell them I was having my lapband taken out...Thank God for that! I have lost 34 lbs since 1/25 about half before surgery and half since. This is my second stall in less than 4 weeks. The first lasted 4-5 days. I am on day 5 of the second stall. I am around 1000 calories a day, getting all my liquid and protein. Hopefully this won't last much longer and the scales will start moving again....very frustrating. -
Do any of you wonder if your stomach is too small or too big?

I see you have lost over half your body weight! Congrats on that!! Do you remember how much you lost the first 30 days, 90 days? I am in a stall and frustrated right now after a good start. -

I've had no trouble with water from the moment I woke up from sugery. I have been able to drink not just sip. I believe I can already hold close to cup of food. I haven't tried it but I feel like I have room to spare after half a cup. I am not pushing the limit. I have not been sick or nauseous for a minute. I also have no hunger or feel the need for food right now. Just wondering...This does not seem to be common. I have lost 15 pounds in 17 days since surgery. -
