:faint: I AM GOING TO CRY!!!! I just found out that Billie's last day at Dr. Hoehn's office is this Friday. I know I have been a big unconnected lately...but geesh!!!! That office is not going to be the same. I am devastated!!!!:cry
-
Angela, You look great! 130 is a great weight loss for one year!!! We are all very proud of you.
-
Welcome back Robyn!!! It looks like you had an amazing time. I am so jealous...I wanna go, I wanna go, I wanna go! Ok, get this... I am going in to see Dr. Hottie for a fill on Wed and my scale freaked out on me this morning. (Maybe the scale is not all to blame.) Anyway, how do I go in for a fill and not get weighed???? I think I will cry if I have to admit to him that I gained 10 lbs!!!!
-
Ok, first thing--who is Dr. J? I have never met him either. Sorry, you got that tight. I know how uncomfortable that can be. I have had the frothing several times and detest it each time. It just seems so strange to see that stuff come out of my body. I go back and forth on the fill thing. Today, my dinner went down kind of rough...but at lunch I had about 3/4 of a bunless cheeseburger and several fries and felt nothing! Urgh!
-
Angela, that is not good. You may be too tight.
-
Mine hasn't budged either... except the wrong direction. The holidays really fed into my bad habits. I need a fill to break the cycle!
-
Holy cow!!! You are tight!!! I could never live with being that tight. I am going in next week and am thinking 1/4 cc will be enough of a change...I hope!

No, she is not getting another band. At least not that I know of. She is no longer obese, so her insurance wouldn't cover it anyway. I talked to Dr. H about the band and getting pregnant quite some time ago. Basically, they want you to get all the Fluid out for several reasons. One being that the baby is going to take everything it needs from your body regardless of what you are eating. So, you need to be very careful to make sure you are getting the right amount of nutrition/food during pregnancy. Also, they probably don't want any possible complications to arise from being banded during pregnancy. But don't worry, if you get pregnant, you need to eat!!! I ate like a horse while pregnant and only gained a little over 30 lbs.

Robyn, my friend is fine now. She was not happy about losing her band, but that is what Dr. H wanted to do. I have to say that honestly, I am having some serious problems! I am gaining major stress and holiday weight!!!! HELP!!!:cry I have gained about 6-8 lbs in the last 3 months and I can totally feel it in my clothes. I like a little room in my britches. My flat butt does not look good in tight jeans/pants. :phanvan I also have "phantom" restriction. It shows up very rarely and only when I don't want it to. Folr example, last weekend, I ate HALF a toasted bagel for Breakfast...didn't feel a thing. I haven't had a bagel in over a year and a half. Today at lunch, with a bunch of people from work who don't know I am banded, I could barely get a few bites of turkey down. :faint: Anyway, I am thinking of making an appt for a fill. I need to get a grip! Oh... one other thing I have been doing... RUNNING on the treadmill. I have worked up to 11 minutes. But, with my long hours at work, I am only getting 2 workouts in a week... Man, life is hard!!!

Hey ladies!! It is good to see some action around here again. Cate, it is good to hear from you. I think you are doing fantastic!!! You have such a great attitude. :clap2: That dress looks amazing. I am so jealous. I wish I had the guts to wear something like that. Secret confession--when I started all this, I wanted to buy and look good in a sexy little black dress. I totally think I could pull it off if I could get rid of all the gross skin on my stomach. Wishful thinking... I know. btw, Angela, plastic surgeon info--pony up. :biggrin1: Give me a call or email me again and we can meet up...maybe do some shopping. Question... is everyone done Christmas shopping yet?
-
Angela, your pictures really tell the story of your weight loss! You look great! Hey guys... just want to say have a great holiday and Happy Turkey Day! I know you are going to be so good (as I will--ha ha ha ha ha )

Robyn, my friend did PB a lot. She had a lot more trouble with food than I did. But the fact that they said her coughing could've contributed to the slip is what freaked me out. I am glad you are doing good. I wish I was losing a pound a week. I started this new job and gained 6 lbs! I am having trouble working in my work outs and it definitely is affecting me on the scale. I am going to set a goal for myself to have 25 lbs off by spring. I am actually starting to think about plastic surgery a lot more. My stomach is really starting to bother more than I thought it would. Angela, can you send me information on that plastic surgeon you had been talking about. I would love to get together with you guys...it is probably best to just email me, since I am not on here very often. Maybe we can plan something after the holidays. :biggrin1:

Hey Guys! Just thought I would check in to see if anyone is still out there. :biggrin1: I have some news about a friend of mine. My friend who told me about the band and Dr. Hoehn had to have her band removed last week. It slipped. She had gotten sick and had been coughing for several days and then all of the sudden she couldn't keep liquids down and was in terribly pain. They thought she might have pnuemonia. On the x-ray, the doctor saw her band had slipped and they sent her by ambulance to SMMC and Dr. Hoehn took out her band. It kinda freaked me out. So, any news from anyone else?

HOLY COW! 72 ounces of water--that is awesome Cate! -
Sugar free-- HA! Uh.. nope. I don't do sugar free. I hate artificial sweeteners. The only thing that I do that has sweetener is my protein powder and I do that only because I have to. The chemicals scare me. Robyn, I will post on that thread tomorrow. I already packed my lunch for tomorrow, so I know I will be having something other than water. :biggrin1:

Well, I did great today if I am trying to STARVE myself. I look at what I ate today (pre-pudding) and I think there is no way I can fuel my body on that. Not in a healthy way. Even if I do only sit at the computer all day. Maybe my perception of what I should eat is off??? Hey, btw, do you guys weigh or measure your food at every meal?
-
Robyn, I don't think it would be monopolizing this thread at all. We are here to support and motivate each other. If anyone doesn't want to talk about what they ate on a particular day--no big deal & no judgement! I am concerned about what I have been eating lately too! So, here goes: Today I had a fill and I have to admit that on fill/weigh in days I really don't eat. I just drink a lot. Breakfast: Protein shake Lunch: Water Dinner: runny refried Beans w/ cheese(about 1/3 of a can--not sure of the ounces), a couple bites of cucumber salad Water: probably around 40 oz. so far today (estimate, I will pay attention tomorrow) Exercise: 35 minutes Right now, I am thinking about having some pudding. I figure that I have not had many calories today, so what could it hurt???:phanvan Normal days... I EAT A LOT MORE! This was a rare day for me.
