  1. I was banded in February 2008. I blew that. I lost like 24 pounds. Then in June 2011, I was having problems. I had upper GI test and hiatal hernia. When I had surgery for that, he did a band revision. I said this is it.... Time to shine! NOT! I have two of my grand kids and it is hard when they want something for me not to dig in. I have fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome and plantar facciitis. It is hard for me to move with pain and exhaustion. The meds I take cause weight gain!! I actually gave up. I stopped going for fills. I was due last month and said what's the point. I need help!!
  2. Hello, I did have mine surgiacally repaired along with a revision of my band. The reason my surgeon found it was because I was bringing up almost everything I ate. He wanted to make sure my band did not slip. I had an upper GI done and that is what the problem was. I didn't have heart burn or anything like that just the throwing up.
  3. Unjury has a non- flavor protein powder. U can put it in any thing! It is not bad either!
  4. I absolutely love love love Dr. Ku!!! I cried when he left reading. He is the most wonderful surgeon I have ever met. He did my band and a year and a half later he did my hiatal hernia and band revision. U will not be let down with him!!!'
  5. My surgeon replaced it. He had to remove it to fix the hernia. Now I have to get my butt in gear because I have not been following directions.
  6. I had one after being banded for 16 months. My surgeon fixed the hernia and revised my band. Things were always getting stuck and I would throw up alot. He did an upper GI, a week later it was all over.

Is there a problem with my band??

Thanks. I do know for a fact I had 2 fills that the port was missed. That was done by a doctor that works with him and I do not care for him, but any way.....the fluid was pulled out and it was not as much as it was supposed to be. My new doctor told me that with the realize bands, they are flexible and usually all the liquid does not come out because it collasp and some is stuck in the folds. My new doctor does his fills using an ultra sound so I know he will not miss. I will have to call his office and ask what I should do. Thank You so much.
  8. Hi All, This is the first time posting here. I got banded in Feb 2009. I only lost about 20-25 pounds. I started seeing a different doctor sue to my surgeon having a sick son and limited schedule. ( The two surgeons are friends so I was transfered, no hard feelings between them) Any way, I got a fill today. I am supposed to be at about 7cc's now in my 9cc band. I was told to stay on clear liquids today and most of tomorrow. Well, the kids were eating pizza and it just looked soooo good so I thought it will not hurt to take a small bite, so I did. Well I ate two pieces of pizza and I felt like I could eat more but I didn't. I do not understand what is going on. Anyone that can help me out, I would appreciate all that you have to offer!!!! Thank You all!!!!!! Doreen
