Doctor couldn't find my port

At my second fill no one could find the port, so I had to leave the Drs. office and go have an xray which showed my port flipped, I had to have surgery to correct this. Just got my first fill since surgery. I've never felt any restriction. My dr. always does the fill in his office, either the Dr. or a nurse, no pain -

I had terrible gas pains also, Gas X did nothing, but walking and the heating pad were great. I also showered and let the hot water hit my shoulder where the gas pain was the worst. Hang in there it will get better. Walk, walk, walk -
Has anyone ever had their port turn upside down? Mine has done this and I have to have surgery again to correct it. If you've had this, how bad is this surgery?

thanks for letting me know. I feel better now knowing it's a quick and simple procedure -
the same thing happened to my yesterday, after three people tried to give me a fill, they sent me for xray, now i have surgery set up for next thurs. don't you just hate having to go through all of this again? I sure do.

i was a cash pay and I don't have to pay again, my surgery is set up for next thurs. I hope it's not like the first one, it shouldn't be though. There should not be any gas pains since they don't inflate my stomach this time. I just hate to take off work, pre-op,surgery, recovery and all that -

I ate mashed potatoes and other soft foods after one week with no problems just small amount -
my doctor said at least 50 grams a day of protein

angelwhispers, you will be lucky if you get it set up that fast, but good luck I hope you do, I only have one week left to be banded, I'm excited, I started my process in May and I'm self pay

During my first visit they assess you medically and decide what all u need to do I took the psychological test while there and only had to get clearance from my primary md and bloodwork done. It also depends if your ins pays u may have other things to do like a sleep apnea. It took me about two months to get my date I went to a couple of classes too goodluck
