Thanx Sammy and Wishfull, she's settling in good, but today she said to me, I'm coming home tomorrow arent I...I said no love cos you cant walk yet. She then insisted that she could, so we tried, but she cant even weight bear without help. But we'll get there in the end. Oh well Wishfull nice try anyway , was a good plan. I can eat more now than before the fill, so just hope ole Freddy hasnt cocked my tubing up. maybe its cos the swelling has gone down now. Please God!!! Good luck everyone on getting to your sweet spots asap. I wouldnt have an unfill before a flight, cos as long as you can swallow think how much weight you'll lose.:thumbup:

Thanx Sammy and Gillian, it is good now Mums in the nursing home. I go over every lunch time though to get her to eat and she is doing ok. Now she needs to walk, but she is weight-bearing so thats an improvment. Great news on the fills, wish they had a place nearer to me. I mailed them and they replied saying they didnt have any plans of coming to the North West, but thanx for my input...sob. Forgot to also say I take a milk thistle tablet every night and remember Michael said my liver was in excellent condition, just proves it works cos I am a bit of a boozer lol. Specially since I gave up the fags.

Hi girlies, I have been busy too. my Mum has finally been transferred to the nursing home near us, so have been round there helping her settle in. Then last night we went for a well-deserved night out with friends. Ended up going for an Indian curry, was scrummy...no I havent got any restriction at all :laugh: Roll on 9th May. Ahh Odge, you'll be back before you know it and all will be good. I was fairly good on the pre-op diet, only had one night when I had a few drinks. My pre-op was quite strict, was starving lol. But i got through it, just allowed myself a little treat when I couldnt stand it any longer. Try to stay away from takeaways and fried stuff, you'll be fine.

As Mmm says it is normal practise to 'pay up front', both times I wa banded at the Spire Southampton I paid a week before. And I know Dr Chris always wants cash before the op from all the other people on here. Sammy, Gillian is in touch with Wishfull, and told me she was having probs with her laptop, but like you say where are the naughty sisters, not seen them in a while either:frown:?

Odge, my first band developed a hole so I lost all restriction and put back on the weight I had lost and some. And yes...I had to pay again, albeit I got a reduction its still, all in all cost me almost £10000. I didnt have my bands done in Belgium by Dr Chris, although that was my intention when I first joined this site. My other surgeon came up with a reduction for me which made it cheaper to go with the Spire, otherwise I would have been in Belgium like a shot. My story is on here somewhere, I'll search and give you the link if you'd like to read it chick?

I smoked after my first band was implanted hun, it was a life-saver, cos when I couldnt sit down to a meal I used to smoke instead. I stayed away from fizzy drinks though, cos they made my chest feel uncomfortable, not worth it. Which girl was that, the one with the specs who was home after 5 hours ? She should have been in bed she would have been far more comfortable. I couldnt believe that she was on the couch!!! She really seemed fed up before and after. She should have been over the moon. You see how the surgeon can tell if you havent done the pre-op diet??? Its so important, yet the first time I got my date so fast I didnt have time to do it. I would have this op again if i had to, thats how much confidence I have in it chick, and I've had it done twice.

Geez Sammy thats scarey!!!! I bet your hubby was on the edge of his seat!!! Bless little Harrison, why is he scratching, what does GP say chick? Dont fret I have no restriction whatsoever I can eat more and a greater variety than before my fill....whats that all about?? Dont forget to let us know how you are after your Wendy fill Sam. Hey Mmm are you back in France yet? Forgot to say Odge, I had a drink a few days after op. I have a couple every night cos I still miss the smoking. Gonna have to stop pretty soon though, cos its not helping my weight. Flirty you must have had some restriction to lose 6 stone didnt you hun? Hasnt it gone because of all the weight you've lost? Or am I missing something here :crying: 6 stone is so marvellous so proud of you girl!!!!

Thanx CW and Big sis, I am just worried in case my tubing has been pierced....I will know when I see MVDB hopefully.... on 9th May. I know Big sis, what a family duh!!. They've told my daughter that she cant go back to work....she sits on her bum in an office and only part time too. She has to go back in hospital when she's 26 weeks and they will give baby steroids to develop her internal organs. They wont let her pregnancy go beyond 34 weeks, if she doesnt deliver before. She has waited so long for a little girl, I just pray everything will work out well. Rachel is coming home tomorrow all being well. And my other daughter who's in Australia is in bits now worrying about her big sis.

Cheers KaKa..I know you're right and deep down I know that normally giving up the ole weed I would have put weight on, but I havent.. The truth is I have smoked since I was about 14, so its always been part of my life. The only time I didnt smoke was when pregnant, I should never have started again. Fool!!! Well Rachel has to stay in hospital for 3 days on complete bed rest,baby seems to be fine, so fingers crossed. Because she is only 20 weeks they cant give her steroids apparently, but they will be doing a weekly scan and taking bloods every week, until whenever. I dont think anything else can go wrong i this family...can it???

Last night my daughters waters started to break, she's not due until end of August, they took her into hospital, where she is now waiting for the consultant to visit so she can go home. Its a stressful time, she has 2 sons and only Tuesday found out this baby is a little girl, she was so happy. But I think she will be ok, she'll have to have weekly scans and blood tests until her due date. I almost smoked last night whilst waiting for news. duh!!

Kaka, your daughter has done tremendously well, far better than me. Excellent!!! In fact I'm going to start smoking again soon, cos I cant stop eating:angry:

Yeh Flirty but you're a young woman plenty of time to give up when you're ready. Yes weighed myself and the weights back on, must have been water or some such stuff lol. All that pain and discomfort for nowt....if i dont start losing after my next fill then i will start smoking again, cos I'm not paying out all this money to stay fat.

That bath full of Chinese food sounds downright sexy, I think I may prefer melted choccy atm though:thumbup: We had salt and pepper chicken wings and special fried rice and curry and chips last night. I did manage some of it, but poor hubby ends up scoffing too much and he will start putting weight on. Its the no smoking thing with him too.:smile2: I have been eating again... small portions...but I'm sure I've put that 4lbs back on. I still feel the urge to smoke if I dont have a patch on and its been 7 weeks today since I last smoked. Does the longing ever go away???:sneaky:

So sorry aint been here guys, been...and still am so sick I caught this damn bug off my pest of a grandson (he's 8 and full of little boy germs!!) I have had the wildies since saturday evening, my God my bum is in tatters was like passing sulphuric acid Sorry to be so graphic, but I wanted to share. Dont feel very hungry (hurrah!!!) and am aching all over. Good news is I've lost over 4 lbs, but still feel poorly. be back as soon as I feel able, poor Mum had no visitors today, my daughter went on Sunday and Monday but didnt go today. I didnt feel up to getting out of bed and i dont want mum to catch it. God sometimes life sucks. Hubby says I must be run down, as nobody else caught it.

You are a sweetie Gillian, thanx for the compliments. When did you get so wise kid???? I think you are spot on with that info, well done you. You have sat and thought that through. I dare anyone to contradict you, cos it seems very plausable to me.:laugh: So the ice-cream and choccy are out from now on. I am going to try chicken tikka wraps for my tea, and see how that works out :drool: Just a thought, when my other band was working, I did try a couple of times to eat out at our local Indian, but could never manage more than a couple of forkfulls of curry and rice, whats that all about? In the end I stoped trying and stuck with the chutney and poppadums, and sometimes I couldnt even manage them, it depends how fresh they are I think, cos fresh stuff goes donw easier, I found.

Hi Retta, good luck sweetheart in whatever you decide, but can I just say that my daughter was banded in 2005 and she has lost 8 stone up to now. She is also 4 months pregnant, and has to have C sections (she has 2 other kids). She loves being pregnant, whilst slim, and has only put on 2lbs. I have read the other posts, and I am so enchanted by the lovely people on this board, everyone is so kind and nice, and willing to give their advice and their views, so refreshing to 'meet' so much kindness all in one place. I am proud to be a member of this fabulous community.:drool: btw I know this is the Ozzy thread, but my other daughter has just moved to the Gold Coast, so I feel closer to you all, hope you dont mind me sticking my nose in.

I know this is off-topic, but wanted you to see my baby girl who's gone to Austrailia for 12 months, miss her like mad. I know you saw the party ones, but they werent that nice this was taken 2 years ago when her hair was bobbed.
