Hey girlies, so glad you remembered me lol xxx. I wouldnt mind Scooby if i had been eating loads, I could deal with the weight gain, but it seems I have to eat hardly anything and not drink much either to lose. I will go for a little fill in August to take me back to near starvation, but I didnty reaLLY FEEL HUNGRY, IT WAS JUsT THE ACID REFLUX THAT CRIPPLED ME. oops sorry about the caps. Then in December I am going to have some taken out again like last year, family says I was starting to look drawn and ill, so maybe I'll be better next time around, I think maybe if I just lose about 21 pounds that will do me. Anyway enough about me, well done hunny on your 4stone loss, its really hard I know when you've got restriction, you have to re-think every mouthful, but hey it works!!!. Sarah well done you on going back to have the repair, I hope you werent charged? I only go to Freddyboy or Chris for my fills, they are both so good, and I trust them both completely. You'll soon be falling down grids lol. Take care of you. xxx Laila, its awful that damn nighttime reflux, but Freddy told me after a small de-fill, that if I left it for a month and then went back and had the bit put back in it would give my oesophagus chance to mend the inflamation, and it was quite correct, so dont despair, or m,aybe just about the money lol. Ask for a reduction, cos its not reqlly fair is it. Chris gave me a reduction to 60 euros when I had the last de-fill. And Freddyboy has even taken some out for free!!. Well girlies, nobody mentioned Jo Jo so I guess I have to wait till she replies. speak soon xxx

Jo-Jo, why have you been banded again, or are you a different Jo-Jo ? So sorry about your leak Sara, but so glad its being fixed and not involving removal of the band. How are you feeling, hope you're doing well. Did Chris tell you what had caused the leak?

Just edited my ticker, alas I have put almost 9lbs back on, all because I had a tiny bit taken out. but its my own fault, I have been eating cream cheese and drinking wine, which goes down so well. Fat mare

I havent been on for ages, never seem to find the time. Anyone going to Manchester for a fill tomorrow? I never meet anyone from this forum when I go, and most of the people I talk to have never heard of it Will try to get on at some point soon. Hope everyones ok. xxxx

Thanx Slinx for the lovely compliment, I wish I was a size 10!!!!! I'm in a 16 top and almost in a size 14 pants. But I've always been that shape , bigger at the top than the lower area. My Mum and my best friend both gave me a compliment yesterday, independently, they both remarked on my shrinking bottom lol. Slinx is correct, my band wasnt done by Dr Chris, as you can see in my sig. How good are you going the gym 4 times a week Laila, you deserve the rewards, I'm a lazy git thats why I have so much loose skin, that and my age of course. I used to go the gym 3 times a week a few years back, but I got fed up in the end. Irish LBG, dont despair, like Slinky says you need a few more fills and you wont be able to eat, I had my second op in Feb 2009 and didnt get any restriction until July of that year. It has taken me since then to lose 4 stone, but I'm almost at goal now, so dont give up and dont anyone here feel bad about themselves, we all know how it feels to be fat, and we sympathise, but you are doing the best thing you can, about it, and you will win in the end, just make sure you keep getting the fills until you can only eat a third of a cupfull, and the weight will disappear.

Wow!!!! Skinny or what !!!!! 7 stone, is amazing, I'm amazed at how much energy I have now, so I'm sure you are too. I went to manchester for a tiny defill yesterday 0.25 out, as the old acid was constant, and constipation too (sorry to share that) Still feel tight but the acid has gone yipee!!!! I hope I continue to lose, cos I still have that flaming stone to lose I wanted it gone by the summer. What piccy do I have hun? Here's one taken at Xmas, I'm much the same now....only my face has filled out a little more, cos it went to look drawn when this was taken. Hello everyone, just found a few spare minutes before I go to see my Mum. Hope you're all enjoying mothers day lol. Well even on the short flight to Benidorm my band tightened up like mad, couldnt hardly eat or drink for 4 days, weird!!! maybe its the stress of travelling because these days with all the security checks it does get stressful, but so glad they are rigid with the checks. I came home on thursday teatime , unpacked, got all the washing sorted etc, and suddenly realised I would never have been able to do all of that when I had loads of weight on me!!!! Where has the energy come from, cos I still cant hardly eat anything. I know I should get a bit out but am going to persevere until I have lost the last stone, and then will try to lead a normal life, without piling the weight on again. I think I'll aim for having 2mls out and see how I go, maybe about August. JoJo I have had a quick read back and am wondering why you are going for more surgery???? For the lady who's band has eroded, that happened to me and I had to get another op to remove and replace. Amazed my poor little daughter has only lost a stone, and she struggles to eat anything. But she wasnt much overweight and ate healthily always, so I think thats why. She still fits into a size 12, so she's not gross, but she thinks she is !!. You have done really well, soon be at your target!!! Will pop in again asap. xxx

sorry I havent been around much girlies, and guys, like Slinx, dont seem to find the time these days. I'm going to Benidorm a week friday just for 6 nights as my Mum's birthday is on 1st April and I have to be home for that, so cut the holiday short. I cant eat much and its getting me down again and I am getting the old acid in the throat again. I really need a bit out, but cant afford it just yet, not with going away, just hope it doesnt tighten too much, cos when I flew to Belgium last year it did tighten. Amazed you have done really well, I bet you're delighted, seems such a long time since we met in Belgium. Sara, I do still drop in sometimes, sorry to miss you hun xxx

donnalemaster my first band developed a leak, and I had to pay again to have it removed and a new one implanted. This one works great I have lost over 4 stone, in 2 years and I am so glad I had a new one. This is my lifeline, and I would go though it all agin if this one failed (please God I hope it doesnt). Dont despair love, all will turn out well in the end.

Some people are so rude, they are so up their own bums that they forget you have to be very careful when posting as the written word can be misenterpreted. I am sorry you have been offended Basimah, dont stay away because of someone else's ignorance, seems to me most of the people in this part of the forum are genuine and nice.. I dont come to this part normally, I use 'Anyone heard of Chris debryne' where the members have always been lovely. Only once a woman ( not a lady) bit my head off over something silly, but everyone backed me up and she never came back, silly moo. So give your fellow bandsters a second chance, I'm sure the good outweigh the bad.

Pinkshaz, maybe you need another fill. Since my last one on 10th feb I am back to my pre-defill weight, albeit I have been ill with flu for about 3 weeks. I cant eat hardly anything, but not feeling hungry so I dont care. Taking vits and Whey protein drink every day so I dont get ill from lack of nourishment. I was like you before I got to my sweet spot and could eat loads of crisps, not good. Not much nutrition in a bag of crisps. maybe you need to look at that hunny.

I have lost almost 5lbs since last Thursday, so well chuffed, only another 5 to go before I get back to my pre-Crimbo weight. Dont know whether its because I have got that stupid flu thing, or whether its my restriction, but I dont really feel hungry, and when I try I have to think what CAN I eat. Dont worry about eating chocolate, if thats all you can eat, do it, you have to eat something. Been there, done that. everyone for your kind words, they mean a lot. They are having the tiny baby cremated, the service is today, just a private one for Rachel and Matt. Maybe then they will get some closure.

My youngest daughter had her 3rd fill last thursday and has restriction, she now has 6ml in. Chris Deprez put 1 ml in mine bringing me up to 7 thats the most I've ever had in and its great, I dont even feel hungry, I have to force myself to eat, and we're talking 3 desertspoonfuls of soup and I'm stuffed!!! Bring on the weightloss, this is what its all about.

Sara, just tell them you snore, after all its not something that you can control when you're asleep, dont worry about it, like Honey says they will be too full of drugs to even care lol. My poor eldest daughter went for her 21 weeks scan last week and they told her the baby had died at 17 weeks. Then she had to go into hospital to be induced to give 'birth'....so sad, you really dont think it will ever happen to you or yours do you. Thanx Slinx anyway, I got the phone number from Sammy.

Its different for everyone hunny, my daughter has had 2 fills and doesnt feel hardly any restriction. She had another today, but I havent spoken to here this evening yet, so not sure if this has helped give her restriction. I had about 4 before I felt any different. Then I wanted to eat but couldnt and no, I didnt feel starving which proves I used to eat even when I wasnt hungry (before the band) has anyone got Wendys phone number or mail addy please?

Thanx Slinx. You're lucky that you can bite a sandwich, you shouldnt be able to eat bread at all sweetheart. But if that works for you, go for it. Well I had a few mouthfuls of sunday lunch, no potatoes, and couldnt eat anymore, so we'll see if the weight goes down.

Ahh Slinx you are gonna feel a lot of restriction I expect, but remember that the band changes from day to day. I have 6 in and dont have the restriction I had before the defill. Still toying with having .5 put back in, seems such a lot of money for just that bit. Yesterday I didnt eat until 4:30 pm was just too busy, but when I came to eat my tea I could only manage a few mouthfuls and then felt dreadfully sick. I was prolly full of wind lol. I have lost 2.2lbs since the fill on 13th January but nothing more amazing how it goes on so fast but takes forever to come back off. Does anyone know the date in Feb for the Manchester fills?

Honeybelle, many thanx for the info about freddyboy, poor thing, I hope he gets well soon. He told us he had just become a daddy when we saw him the other week, a little girl called Emily, bless. Slinx, I have more weight to go now cos I have only lost 2lb since the fill. I seem to be able to eat lots of things, but steer clear of bread, pastry and fries and rice, cos my band doesnt like them at all. I have adjusted my ticker accordingly, another battle now. I need that other .5 in to stop me eating, but I'm going on holiday end of March, just dont know whether to go in feb for a fill or not, and not sure if I can afford it. Sade, dont get completely emptied as it will cost you more money to get it all back in. I flew to the far east, Hong Kong, Singapore and Kuala Lumpar and Oz last year (10 flights in 3 weeks) with 3.5 mls in and I could eat a small meal and drink wine with it, no probs. I had 3mls out in December and freddy could only put 2.5 back in, he said I would be overfilled. So have to pay for the extra bit to be put back in again!, to bring me back to 6.5. Drives me nutz!!!!!

welcome to all the pre-bandsters, you have made the right decision, you'll never look back. When I went for my fill and freddy boy weighed me he said 'looks like you had a good christmas..lol' cheeky git lol. he couldnt put 3 back in so I had to settle for 2.5, but it seems pretty good, I cant eat as much as before so lets hope it helps me get rid of some of this unwanted weight. I still fit into my size 16 jeans but they're a bit snug. there were so many people in manchester most waiting for a fill, and 2 ladies who went for a consultation. I couldnt believe the people that didnt even know how many mls they had in their bands!! i think its this board that has helped me so much in that respect and the niceness of all the members here have helped me stay on track. My daughter only had 2 put in too bringing her to 5, and I'm on 6. maybe because I'm not up to 6.5 the acid reflux will stop hopefully I'll still lose though, time will tell. patty you have done so well, bet you feel like a new woman, and good luck, may all your wishes come true xx. Maggs, how nice to see you here, its been a long time and I agree Slinx is doing a great job! I only had 3.5 left in and it wasnt enough, I could eat for England. my eldest daughter had 4mls in and now she's pregnant again, so she'll have to get some more out soon as the baby is expected in June. She has put on loads of weight and she cant eat much at all, pretty weird as last time she didnt put hardly anything on at all. Good luck to all the pre-bandsters you wont regret it, it changes your whole life. I am eating far too much and like Annie am getting hungrier each day, roll on thursday. I think I'd rather have the reflux than the weight.

Hi peoples, not been here for a while, the last was when I treated myself to a de-fill begining of December. I put on 4lbs up to Boxing day which wasnt bad, but since then have put on another 5lbs, so annoyed at myself, its gonna take me 3 months to get that off now. Going for a fill on Thursday 13th Jan, so I hope Freddyboy can get the 3mls back in, I'll die if he cant. This has taught me that if ever I want a break from the damn acid reflux then I only need to get 2mls out. I only have 3.5mls in now and can eat anything and in fairly good portions too. My daughter looks slimmer but says she hasnt lost anything except the initial 5lbs. She only has 3mls in but is going for her second fill the same day as me.
