So many posts to try to read. I'll try to reply to a few lol. Noodles, I stopped smoking on the day of my op lol, everyone was laffing, cos when they asked if I smoked I said no I gave it up yesterday. I stopped for 4 months and wasnt losing any weight, so I started again and I have been dropping ever since. Now I know this is a feeble excuse, but when you cant eat or drink, at least you can enjoy a ciggy. My bad i know, but i am not paying out all that money not to lose weight. Debs, you have the same birthday as me, though you gotta be years and years younger chick lol. Parrot i do hope you hiccups have stopped, they do hurt I know. Someone asked when they would ever reach their sweet spot, you will darling you will, I know I was over-filled 2 months ago and I have been suffering ( personal choice) ever since, but at least the weight is falling off. I know if i had had a little taken out I would have reached my SS. But I am having 4.5 taken out on 8th October, if i cant get a later date as I'm going to see my daughter in Australia on 31st October and we are also visiting Hong Kong, Singapore and Kuala Lumpar for about 3 days at each place, so I wanted to be able to at least eat and drink. We're going away for 3 weeks, so I do hope I dont put too much weight on. I know my band will tighten on the flights and we are doing a lot. You wont ever regret the decision, it will change your life, I had mine done twice .....:wub: I havent been on for a week, as that damn gastric bug came back and I've been very poorly, but all better now :tongue2: Take care peoples xxxx

I dont think you'll be able to drink any fizzy drinks after you've had a fill or 2 Debs, but you can loosen the top of the bottle and let it go flat lol. You wont regret your decision babe, its life-changing.

brilliant Garry, thats good news, and pray tell me why are you eating crisps, you naughty boy lol. I do love naughty boys lol I know my port is stitched, cos I had a dreadful stinging feeling in that area after my op, because the old one had attached itself so well the surgeon had to cut it away. It just seems funny that its moved up 3 inches. i hope to get my de-fill about 22nd october ready for my adventure to the Far East and Australia, so I'm sure freddy boy will tell me why lol. I just cant wait to get loads out cos i know it will tighten on the flight to Hong Kong, which is gonna take, from manchester about 17 hours all in, cos we have a couple of hours wait in Heathrow. I am such a greedy pig, cos the first thing i want to eat is an indian curry at our local restaurant. I have so missed those, even though i could make the meal last over 3 days, could never eat it all in 1 or 2 goes, so maybe I'm not such a little piggy. Ahh Bigsis you have been so good, maybe a feast of choccy will get you moving again. my bowels are great now thanx, just making sure i drink loads of Water every day.

Carrie your pics are gorgeous, you look really lovely. No my port has only moved since I lost more weight, and I'm not in pain so maybe you are correct huns. I feel at ease now many thanx for your reply xxx

Can any of you 'old' members remember me telling you about my daughters friend who apparently had her band removed cos she was very ill??? Well I spoke to her via text yesterday, havent spoke to her for over 12 months, thought I'd lost her number but found it yesterday. She didnt have her band removed (as the story went...chinese whispers an all) what happened was...she went down to a size 12, and then couldnt keep anything down, and was losing so much weight she went to the docs. They took her into hospital where she stayed for 3 weeks. They operated and found her band had slipped so they fixed it. She went down to a size 4 !!!!! However this was last Christmas and she's fine now and needs another fill, she says she's overweight lol. I thought it sounded strange and knew she would never part with her band she loved it so much.

Thank you Bev, I cant believe how much weight you've lost already!! You are doing so well. If you go on like this you wont be needing a band lol.

There was me blaming my band, when in fact I must have had some sort of bug, cos I had (the wildies...sorry guys) this morning. I am feeling a lot better now, felt dreadful all day. But my port has moved a good 3inches above where it was initially, has anyone else experienced this. God i hope I havent done any damage with all the sickness.

I was sick again tonight, all I ate was 3 cream crackers with cheese and tomato on. And I mean the proper down the nose jobby...yuk, sorry to be sharing this with you, but it happened the day before yesterday too. Forgot to say, Parrot, you make me laff, sounds like the holiday from hell. bet you're glad to be back home. Homecare you have done well to lose weight, aint it fab!!! Whomever said losing weight with a band was easy hasnt got a clue. It's damn hard, I have had a lot of discomfort, sleepless nights and lots of vomiting, so no its not damn well easy. I hope i dont put you pre-bandsters off, I dont mean to, cos at the end of the day I know the horrid things wont last forever and there was no way i could have lost this weight without my dear, sweet bitch of a band lol. I do not for one minute regret it at all.

Thanx girlies for lovely things you have said about the nursery and Gabrielle...she is a cuteypie. Starsky, that is damn disgusting that they lost your luggage and wont do anything for you. Didnt you get insurance hun? I cant believe they can get away with that, your case has to be somewhere. You have to write/phone/email Easyjet, dont let them get away scot-free, make a lot of noise. Wishfull dont forget to let us know what the baby is hun! I had to sit up to sleep again last night, or did i mention that lol. Today i didnt even want to eat until 4pm, and then i felt so ill, the pain in my chest was dreadful and at 7pm I was violently sick. then felt better. So today i have eaten zilch!! This band is off its head.

Ivesy2...I also get the same thing. I had it last night, I had to go to sleep sat up with pillows propping me up. I couldnt get rid of it, via PB, I just had to suffer. It finally went down about 5am this morning, mine too was tablets that I have to take at night. Its dreadful, but I keep thinking it will pass, and it will. On saturday I ate a wrap with chicken tikka and salad inside for lunch, then at teatime ate another!!! It stayed down great, no reflux or anything. Strange band. They do have a mind of their own.
