Everyone has different opinions, im just sharing mine.. but my dietician said to never weigh when portioning. Your stomach is restricted by the volume you can eat not the weight of the food. You should be measuring your food out by portion size.

Mine was indented too. Over time it'll go away and look a little more normal.

MotivatedMomma replied to Darla1983's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved 7/29 and up until today have been doing fantastic.. but today I have had a sharp pain under my ribs and right in the center of my abdomen. And I think acid reflux, although it could be anything, really bad all day.. i can't even drink water or take my medication without being in pain.. idk whats going on. Does anyone have any suggestions? -

I believe they do that during surgery but they did make sure that I could pee, walk around some as well as eat a little food without too much issue. I had some yogurt and potatoes. Sent from my SM-F700U using BariatricPal mobile app

I stayed pretty much exactly 24 hours... surgery was at 1pm and I was released about 1:30 the next day. Sent from my SM-F700U using BariatricPal mobile app

2 day post op pain
MotivatedMomma replied to MotivatedMomma's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mine is the same as this with the exception that I have to do pureed/mushie for a full month before I can do a regular diet... i am really struggling mentally. I want food. Not craving anything bad like ice cream or cake... i just want real food like chicken or a salad..... i don't regret the decision to have the surgery just missing food Sent from my SM-F700U using BariatricPal mobile app -
I am not the OP but I am so very thankful for all of these responses. Exactly what I needed to hear! When did everyone start to feel like their normal self without the dizziness and incision pain? Sent from my SM-F700U using BariatricPal mobile app

2 day post op pain
MotivatedMomma replied to MotivatedMomma's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hmm maybe. That is what they gave me in the hospital. Said they wanted me to eat part of it before I could be released. Maybe ill go backwards to just liquids and see if that helps.. Thank you Sent from my SM-F700U using BariatricPal mobile app -

MotivatedMomma replied to IWantTheDream's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have this as a thread I started but maybe someone here can help me... It seems like no matter what I eat or drink and sometimes just laying down I get a really sharp pain under my ribs.. is that gas pain? Is it something else? Am I doing something wrong.. it makes it hard to want to eat and drink when ots painful. Sent from my SM-F700U using BariatricPal mobile app -
