Anyone for September 2020?
tarotcardreader replied to vsg_britt_091420's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sleeve does lead to more revisions because revising bypass is more complex and requires skill level that most doctors dont have. However its a very exciting time for everyone and nothing to argue or get your guys panties in a Bunch about! Enjoy the excitement 🥳 -

Anyone for August 2020
tarotcardreader replied to MotivatedMomma's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When you get up in the morning instead of turning off your phone alarm hit snooze and all day try to get another ounce in each time it goes off. I read that protip from someone who is a couple years out. Some people use an apple watch and repeat timer on vibrate. Theres also workout timers like gym buddy that go off every ten. You might have to get up earlier to get it all in initially until you can drink a bit more ⏱ -

tarotcardreader replied to MotivatedMomma's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi I know what you mean about the shakes lol hopefully we will all be okay. Statistically only 1/200 to 1/500 die in the united states nationally so we got that low % death rate going for us! If we don’t do it then the comorbities get us five to ten years out 😆. Just letting you know others are worried and thinking about it too! Hope you post an update after your surgery 🍀 -

Share your gallbladder removal experience!

Gallbladder can gangrene which can - >death. I would go with doctors opinions not strangers on the internet. 🤞🏼🍀 Also if you dont trust your doctors opinion enough you should get a second opinion From another doctor. That might help you to make the best decision for your anatomy with your private health history that only the doctors know and not us here on the forum -
Yes, health concerns are a very good reason for her as she has statistically better health outcomes being between 19-24.99. I have several degrees and pretty much argue from a position called fact. This posters feelings are valid and don’t shame her for going for it!

Surgery for non-weight reasons?
tarotcardreader replied to cmac1mcB's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
We’re all (or were) fatties so there’s no bluffing here, but typical weight gain w steroid is nill. I happen to be an educated fatty with a masters degree. You chose the calories you put in your face, same as the lady who had a death. It is a food problem if you are putting too much food in your mouth. All of us did. Denial is rampant on internet.. i am the third person to agree with the posters above saying you have a food problem. Hope it helps for your reality check to help you be more healthy otherwise i wouldnt have commented. Hope you have lots of success denial can get in the way of that 🧸 -
Good bye I guess...

Hey dont know what this is about but take care and remember the world is full of opinionated people and as adults you cant go run n hide from everyone. You might find some buds here if you stay but maybe not either way dont be so sensitive and remember all these people have their own lives with their own responsibilities and do not owe a response to strangers on the web. If you dont like internet support try going to a support group in your town atleast. I do both 👌🏼 -

Hi Jen sorry to hear you are feeling down but today is a new day! Yes covid is definitely complicating the process but there are some advatages like telehealth appointments 🥴 telehealth support group etc. focus on the positive in that youve gotten some things out of the way and have additional days to lose that few pounds 🍀

Hair, nails and skin vitamin patch
tarotcardreader replied to Shell4451's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I was just at a preoperative appointment and they dont allow the use of patches. The reason i was told was that The patches arent dense enough to hold the nutrients that the patchmakers claim 🙃 -
Is anyone else as disappointed...

Maybe when you post something like this you should include a typical days food for people to see. They might have tips for you especially the veterens! I recommend scheduling with dietician as well -

Look it sounds really awful so i hope you get to feeling better but everybody has to do their own due diligence prior to surgery choice and gerd is more common in sleeve than rny in all the data. You got the sleeve having known the risk for that particular one. I really hope you feel better! -
