How many carbs in post-op diet?
tarotcardreader replied to BigSue's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think this is too one sized fits all. People that have fatty liver may need to avoid fat and carbs. Diabetics as well may need to add extra or take some away. Best is to go with what works for your bodys own comorbities and anyone can read scientific sources to find out best diet for it however most nutritionist at bariatric programs know all this info and its a good idea to lean on others who have mastered the topic in degree for some advice. -

Reflux and Gastric Sleeve
tarotcardreader replied to Moon2408's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sleeve is contradicted for gastric sleeve according to my surgeon also some lady posted on the sleeve forum about regretting sleeve with gerd. Be careful. Its probably more ideal to pick the surgery best fits with your comorbities (gerd diabetes whatever) -

CPAP use requirement
tarotcardreader replied to ajb1029's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi! I can tell you that my primary doctor (does surgery clearance before surgery before surgeon will operate) had sent over notes in the required within 30 days of surgery clearance and i saw them. The pcp mentioned that i had “treated “ osa. She must have received the report from the sleep lab. She communicated whether i was compliant to surgon in paperwork 🙃 thankfully i am at 90% on that machine. Sometimes i dont get to washing it til noon then i dont want to get rainout in the tube so i plug in this other apap i was gifted lol. I love cpap. When i had the surgeoun preop appointment today she had a folder with all my sleep study info and every test and talked with me about it. She was more concerned that i had the equipment necessary but again im compliant Look girls go right on over to the web site etsy and get yourself some cpap tube covers with cute patterns and strap covers! More comfy!! I got some from redrabbitgoods That i like. Theres a company called padacheek that also makes comfy straps to make the process more enjoyable! You can also decorate your cpap with stickers to match the covers just saying I use resmed airTOUCH F20 mask. It has a soft foam cushion. I use humidification at a 4 or 5 on the low temp because i prefer breathing colder air. Find a way to make it more comfortable by really looking into the settings. Am able to side sleep in f20 mask. Hey hope my rambling inspires you to keep trying cpap because not breathing at night aint cool 💗🥴 -

Dentist are trained to recognize that because they make special mouth pieces that you can wear instead of use cpap ☺️

Roux-en-y vs sleeve HELP!!!
tarotcardreader replied to JomaraElizabeth's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Yep. Bypass here 8/28/20. Sleeve also loses less weight on average but you know that since you looked at the statistics. Sleeve has its place though for people with less bmi and few comorbidty. Rny is a little better towards reversing diabetes and comorbities thats in the data. Rny doesnt have as high risk as the DS. Its also got about 15-20 years of data versus less for sleeve. I think they are all good but rny fits my particular needs with comorbities being more likely to be gone (compared to sleeve) but not as high death risk as the DS. Thats why i went bypass -
Try youtube alot of them went to mexico for it
-
Immodium? I read that too much fat can be part of the prob as the malabsorption might not digest it then it slides out undigested. Another thing to consider is a different shake brand if u consume any. Also maybe check for something called lactose intolerance
