Need personal docs help?
tarotcardreader replied to Chrissylynn80's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
After all the basic stuff your read about here (nutrition egd sleep study etc) in order to have the surgery i had to have a preop clearance physical. This exam included ekg and chest xray within 30 days of the operation and is generally done by your primary care physician but you can sometimes get a walk in clinic to do it. I was able to get an appointment in time with my pcp so didnt use clinic. Surgeon also had Pcp refer for egd to be sure it would be covered ulcers might be contradiction for bypass definitely ask to see if those r okay for sleeve (to save time). Ultimately up to whatever surgeon is comfortable doing -

Is it normal or common practice
tarotcardreader replied to bufbills's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
No for me i met with the surgeon first so we could ask each other questions. Mortality rate of your surgeons surgeries should be high up on your list! There are many places doing the shrgery so feel free to shop around if problems also if they are this rigid now how rigid will they be when there are problems down the road good luck! -

Pre Op Vitamins and Suplaments
tarotcardreader replied to sarahredwood's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I heard biotin was good for hair. However when i was doing my preop labs they had a sign up saying biotin may affect your lab results so if i were you i would hold off on adding anything presurgery unless told to or it could cause delays in an already long and complicated process -

Hm i dont agree with this i have seen several successful vlogs on youtube who do have slip ups. To err is human and being perfectionist is not really reasonable. I think everyone does their best. This person made a good first step by talking about it -
