Yay! I'm not alone feeling like a total failure. I was banded in July 2008 and have only lost 35 lbs (30 in the pre-op post-op diet) and feel horrible about being stumped in my weight loss. I self paid and will be paying for my surgery for the next 5 years and every time I write that check I feel like a complete idiot! On Monday I decided I will not give up! I am in my second day of a liquid diet and I'm hoping seeing some weight come off will motivate me to keep at it. I need a fill but want to loose a few pounds before I come in for one (I too don't want to be a negative statistic in his books) so I have set a goal to lose 15 lbs before I go in for a fill. It's a great feeling knowing I'm not the only slow loser. We can do it darn it!

Hi Steelgirl, This is my way of getting back on the saddle in this weight loss journey. I need a kickstart to my weight loss and I figure if I did it once (pre-op) I can do it again. I don't feel I eat unhealthy or excessively but I have not lost a single pound in the last year and this is really driving me crazy (I self paid so when I write a check every month I am reminded of how I am not using my tool efficiently). I am hoping dropping some pounds will motivate me to bring more structure to my weight loss. I will let you know how it goes. So far so good!

Well, I'm really frustrated with not losing any weight after a year and a half of getting the band. I really want to get the ball rolling and decided I will go on a liquid diet and see if the weight starts coming off like it did pre-op and post-op. b- cofee & 2% milk l- Cream of chicken Campbell's soup to-go d- Muscle milk shake with 2 straberries and 1/2 banana s- tea or consome Wish me luck, I know the first few days will be hell (for me and everyone around me!).

Diva and Bella, Thank you for the warm welcome! I am really hoping that WW and the band can finally do the trick, so far so good...we'll see how the weekend goes since that is the hardest time for me. I was born and raised in a 3rd world country and have a mentality that I must finish everything on the plate (including my kiddo's leftovers) so when I eat out I end up finishing the humongus portions they give you!! At home I try to serve myself only tiny portions and throw away my kids' leftovers as soon as they are done. Maybe I'll eat in during the weekends too! Yesterday: b-coffee w/milk WW2/60cal l- smart one WW5/ 250 cal s- WW yogurt WW1/ 100 cal Salsa Sunchips WW4 / 210 cal d- turkey/ff cheese sandwich WW3 / 150 cal Progresso 0 point soup WW0 / 120 cal yogurt/blueberries/honey bunches of oats (1 cup) WW4 / 200 cal WW 19 1095 cal -
