Thank you Leslie, I was banded on Aug.5th. I lost 11 lbs. in the first week and now that I am on stage 2 I have gained a pound. Reading your thread and some of the others has helped put my mind a little at ease. I know that I have been doing everything I am supposed to do. I just have to wait for my body to realize it.

Tracyde, I can feel your pain... I was banded on Aug.5th. I lost 10lbs. on Stage 1 and was happy every day I stepped on the scale. Now, even though I have been on the Eliptical 3 times this week, I have actually gained 1 pound. I am starting to feel like I am going crazy.

I was banded by Dr. Nusbaum on 8/5. He's great! Very friendly, doesn't make you feel bad about being overweight. I go today for my 1 week check up today. Good Luck!

Hi Julie, Good Luck tomorrow! I see Dr. Nusbaum today for my 1 week check up. I was banded on the 5th. So far (on my scale) I lost 11 pounds. You'll do great. The first few days are sore but now I am sleeping better and moving around better. Dorothy

Reesh, Quick question. Now that some time has past, did you receive any bills? I am waiting for my insurance to switch to Oxford (7/1) to make my call to Dr. Nusbaum. I've heard nothing but good things about him and a friend of mine had the surgery with him yesterday. She was told by him that he accepts what the insurance covers, he won't charge her anymore and our insurance covers the hospital. I am worried about the bills 'cause my husband is out of work. Any info would be helpful. Thanks, Dotem

Question for the group..... I am changing to Oxford PPO Freedom plan as of July 1st...According to a friend they cover the procedure with no precertification or referrals required....How long should I wait to call the doctor to schedule my first visit....I'm thinking 9am :cursing:

How long do you suggest I wait to call for my first appointment since my insurance only kicks in on July 1st

Question for you> I am just switching to Oxford PPO Freedom as of July 1st.....how long should I wait before I make my appointment to see the doc.
