Keep it up - I have seen many kick habits. You got this and focus on anything else that keeps you from addiction, I am a guy and casual relationships, Tv, and my dog help me combat some of the demons. I would rather be with a friend fooling around then eat a Twinkie. My dog has me moving so he keeps me busy and off the junk food, Tv bores me so i fall asleep - while asleep no eating. There are ways to mind screw yourself from the demons. -

Common Stay on Course this is a Journey not a sprint! Stop weighing yourself or you will end up in a rubber room with a special jacket the buckles in the back! You are getting healthy and it is not consistent weight lose, Your body is going to decide not the scale. Follow the plan and focus on getting healthy - Not the numbers of pounds or Pounds per day - It will happen Trust me I and the counter on the bottom right of this page are the proof

To sleeve or not to sleeve
WInston223322 replied to MVK's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You have two choices! 1. Live the way you are and you most likely will develope obsese related diseases, be unhappy and you may as well go on Amazon and order a Urn because you addiction to food will most likely kill you quicker! FYI you will miss out on a ton of life and will be unable to be happy! 2. Or you can buy the tool that will unable you to become healthy and Happy and offset Number 1 As for doing it alone i did alone. I met with my doctor Bass paid the 12k and 8 days later drove myself to the hospital and Get Er Done! Need i say it was the best decision i ever made! -
First of all stay safe - You are the same age as my two kids who are also doing college now from my office. Since you are young i would suggest you look at the High protein work out diets. My son is on one for building muscle now and he does not have a weight issue but has lost 20 pounds while building muscle

You need to really up them I do not think bottled pre made is strong eneogh the tablets on Amazon for runners work great and easy to use

Quarantine and Drinking
WInston223322 replied to Slim_mommee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree and as a alcoholic i fully understand the disease, I will say i have never been able to kick the habit and most likely never will. I would add caution to the fact that the desire to drink after WLS is much more stronger post OP. I have been drinking since 16 years old and Done severe damage toll my body from it. I can function all day and get my company going but come 5 oclock its few drinks and off to bed. Post Op is even worse with the desire daily to drink, so the buyer beware is Dead On! -

KETO NO GO = You are getting healthy not inducing fats - Plus you can not stay on that you need to get a well balanced diet of healthy foods/

I currently have it also, Problem is I had high blood pressure and had heart surgery. So if i take my heart meds and jump up I am going down. One thing i have found that helps is electrolytes, I use the tablets that go in a bottle of water. If you keep them high it seems to minimize the dizzy. I have been told this will pass once you get healthy, but for me I move slow and get up slow.

I was told NO go on any diet pills, Guess the reason was you need to adjust your life style and eating addiction Not rely on a pill. My surgeon said NO

Quarantine and Drinking
WInston223322 replied to Slim_mommee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am going the other way! I do drink and have drank since about 3 months out. I agree with all of you that the calories in Vodka or any alcohol are high, However during this journey I relied on it to end the days stress and go to sleep. Now the old days would be lots of drinks, Now its just a Vodka and Flavored Protein water for me and Night Night - I do feel for you with the stress it is really getting to me also, My company is shut down and hemorrhaging money daily. So my view is if one drink helps - Go for it - Just exercised it off the next day -

You did it once do it again! You have to kick this addiction to food and focus on other things. Eat to survive only. Keep your calories real low and follow a Meal plan EXACTLY how the plan was written. These pills and such are only tools and you have to control intake. You got this just take the journey and Get Er Done! AJ -
We are same day almost, I do not eat much or follow any plan either, I think you hit it the same way i did. I rely on vitamans and supplements and I mean a ton of them daily. So what I am missing from food i get in liquid or pill form. My blood work is perfect also so that is the key to both of us and we both exercise. I am trying to eat more but just have a hard time eating AJ

Pre-Surgery Advice: What do you wish you knew?
WInston223322 replied to Rachel98's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Wish i would have know hoiw much healthier and happier I would be after surgery! I should have done this years ago! My only advice is this is a journey, just like a trip plan for a journey. It is only a tool that enables you to get heathy. The rest is up to you in how you control the head games, Your addiction to food, You current way of life. Seems weird but you get used to no eating anymore and focus on more important things in life Aj -
As a insane grilling machine, I Smoke shoulders and briskets all the time. Need more information. Did you inject it with a anything? What Rub did you use? Did you trim off the fat or most of it prior to pulling it? Or did you do the big NO NO .......... Did you buy a pan of it pre made from Sams or Cosco? If pre made read the label has so many chemicals and enhancers in it! You should be fine Cooking your own shoulder or but and the light season or very light sugar free Sauce
