    What to bring to the hospital?

    I only used the cellphone, toothpaste, lip balm and mouth spray . My surgery was 7 am and I went home the next afternoon. Wore the same sweat pants and oversized shirt I wore day of surgery.

    Only nine months out... husband and I had Turkey pastrami sandwiches. I had 3 pieces of Turkey pastrami, 1 slice Swiss cheese on one pc of rye bread/ w 1pickle... that was it!

    A normal day of food post op?

    I am 9 months out . I normally don’t eat my first meal until noon... just not hungry in the mornings. I have tea or coffee at 9:00 am, at noon I will have a egg, slice low sodium deli ham w/ half whole grain English muffin and 10 green grapes or I will have 1/2 cup Greek yogurt with 1 Tsp homemade low sugar jam with 2/4 cup granola, or 1 cup toss salad with grilled chicken Lunch at 3/4 pm protein shake Dinner at 7:30 pm Grilled meat, fish or shellfish ( 3-4 oz) with veggies, sometimes a starch( butternut squash or 1 small red potato) Snack ice pop , or popcorn.

  8. My surgery was cancelled twice .. both times because my A1C was high. It took me 2 years to have the surgery. I finally had it 2/27/2020. It was worth the wait .

    I weigh myself once a week in the morning..same time.

    I measure out my meats ( scale) and use measuring cups for everything else .

    4 Weeks and only 10lbs!

    Today is my 6 month surgery anniversary. I am a slow loser... 10-12 lbs a month. My calorie intake is btween 600-700.... wondering if I am not eating enough ... starting weight 303

    Hospital stay

    I had surgery at 7:30 am on a Thursday and went home at 1:30 pm on Friday... had to walk 10 laps, drink 32ozs of liquids and urinate before I was released. No complications... thank God!

    Planning for time off work

    My surgeon suggested 6 weeks, I had my surgery on 2/27/2020 ...,then Covid hit and I have been working from home ever since ( I work in a school).

    How often to eat?

    When I was at the purée stage ... I barely took in 300 calories. I at non fat Greek yogurt, bone broth , sugar free pops, jello and protein shakes.

    What did you lose -- than just weight?

    Hi! Off diabetic meds, off supplement oxygen and my knees no longer hurt... only 5 months out⭐️

    I’ve always wanted??!! What are yours?

    I always wanted to: Cross my legs, wear boots( ankles never allowed me to), go on vacation and not be tired, go to more parties, wear clothing that fits my style... not my body .

    Waiting to see some scale mivemeny

    I feel the same why too... I was sleeved on 2/27/2020. I have only been losing 10lbs a month . My meals range from 600-700 calories daily .. exercising 30 mins 4 times a week, drinking 60- 70 ozs water daily. Not sure if I should up my calories I started at 313 lbs
