  1. thanks so much katie for the pic comment! its good to hear other people can see a difference too. how are you doing? still holding strong at 140? how did you heal after your tt surgery?

    hope all is well!

  2. thanks so much, you are awesome and so sweet! im sorry you are having slow weightloss. have you worked with your docs to figure out why?

i needed an unfill because i was too tight for almost 2 months, but instead of taking out a lot we just kept taking out .5cc every time and there was no effect. i started getting back pain every time i ate or drank, which scared my adjustment nurse so bad that she completely unfilled me and scheduled me for an upper GI a week later. The x-ray showed i was completely healed and that they could start adding fluid again. so if i had a slip, my body fixed itself.

there are only a few things stopping me from getting more fluid: 1) it is so expensive! it is supposed to cost me $75 each time but the nurse said shed work with me. 2) I am scared I will get too tight again and really hurt my body! 3) With 2cc in my band right now, my weightloss is slower, but I am still losing.

hope you are doing okay! update me :)

  3. umm hELLOOOO chelsea, have you looked in the mirror lately? because YOU look amazing! and with a cute boy too.... jeeeealous!

and wow-- 190! even more jealous!!!

  4. well after my last small fill it has been a little bit harder for me to get down food in general.... but im figuring it out. like, if i drink a lot of water before i eat, its not bad. but sometimes i will be out to eat with friends and feel like i have to order something more than just a salad, which i know i can handle... and the first few bites SUCK. but if i wait a little after that, then it doesnt really hurt and i can eat enough where it looks like nothing is wrong with me!

i havent really lost more weight, but i am still losing. just very slowly. still the same as my ticker. what about you?

i saw your pics you posted on facebook and you look HOT! love it! didnt want to comment on them there so i am commenting now-- you are a babe!

  5. well hello there thanks for thinking of me! ive been doing really well- lately i have been eating more calories (keeping the band at little restriction) but i am eating mostly clean whole foods and working out really hard, therefore i am still getting smaller! good to know i still have the band in case my self-motivation drops (which it has been known to do...)

my mom is doing well by the way, she is going through chemo and it is shrinking the tumor, and her surgery is in august.

hope you are well! how is life?

  6. well i dropped those ten pounds in like 4 days flat! but now it just says the exact same 231.8 every time i step on the scale, day and night. i'm starting to think it's broken. or, at least, i'm hoping... haha

oh well, i'm still way ahead of the goals i had set for myself... i wanted to weigh 230 by my one month.... and that's a long time from now

    how was your thanksgiving?

  7. well thats good that thats all it takes to fix it! my blood has the opposite problem... it clots too fast! i always have trouble giving blood because of that.

well i look forward to finding out your NEW surgery date, and i hope you have a verrrry special xmas!

  8. well you have done SO great so far, really. everyone experiences what you are right now as im sure youve read on the board. i did too! i think i told you about that a little in response to one of your posts. i had my first fill 4 weeks and started eating what i would say are the "right" portions for me at my second fill, but im glad i eased into it. its so weird now, when i think about it, that no one really notices how little i am eating compared to the amount i used to eat! but yeah 5 weeks in i was definitely worried, I think one night i had like 5 tacos or something. old habits die hard. couldnt imagine eating even a full one now! i dont even crave a lot of those bad foods anymore, i guess my body is used to it.

    good luck with your fill!

  9. yay 50 lbs thats awesome! you can definitely TELL girl!

i just moved and dont have my scale with me, but i would be totally surprised if i havent lost more weight. since i moved that also means i left my trainer... needing your boyfriend-trainer-friends more than ever now! haha

  10. yay! im glad you can finally feel it! yeah after i got my last fill i had that feeling and it went away after about 3 days and i could eat solids again, just a much smaller amount. but then it got all fickle on me (i was stressed with midterms at school and also flying back and forth, so that may have effected it).. but after about a month i got a slight unfill, and then another slight unfill a week after that. now, im fine. it was rough for abut a month and a half but on the upside, because i wasnt eating much and being sure to get in all of my vitamins/protein because of that, i had really solid weightloss! haha but now that i am where i should be and able to eat solids, i am still losing but at the HEALTHY and slower rate... still, thats like 1.5-2 lbs a week.. :)

its so hard to determine our sweet spot! i hear from others that are farther along than us that they still have problems every once in awhile. but i guess its good to be reminded once in awhile that our band still works!

  11. yay! the scale is still moving for me, sometimes i think it isn't but when i look back over the past few weeks and months, it definitely is averaging 2 pounds a week! i am in a tight 12, but a 12 nonetheless, and i want it tight now so that i won't have to buy new jeans for awhile!

my mom is doing well! she started chemo and is doing better than most with that, as far as not being nauseated. thank you so much for keeping her (and me!) in your thoughts/prayers!

  12. yeah i guess so :(

haha i mean the good part is that clearly i am all healed, but the bad part means that i don't feel any restriction so while i am still eating well, i am ravenous! at least until i get my first fill dec. 17..... "bandster hell" is what i guess we call it? lol but feel free to pass me in the weightloss!

  13. yeah same here! i'd die if some of my friends or especially some of my ex boyfriends found out! they don't need any fuel to add to the fire haha

as of right now just my best friend, my brother, my mom, my stepdad, and like 2 other non-friends know (my mom's hairdresser-- who has the lapband herself! and my friend's dad... not sure why he knows)

  14. yep, I go to Mizzou! I'll be banded up in Columbia now, but probably not until Thanksgiving break now. :)

Glad to hear your surgery went well! I'd love to hear an update!

  15. your family sounds like a smart family... the gf, well, you may need to help guide her a little... haha.

and thanks so much for thinking of me! i am doing well. i recovered really fast, or at least faster than i thought i would. i've just been doing a lot of walking with my parents since they are in town... but they both walk at a snail's pace so i don't think i am pushing it too much.

  16. aw feb 16.... 3 weeks away... not TOO bad! hopefully the time flies. I'm sure it will, with you being busy with school and work and everything!

  17. aw i'm sorry you got that full until it hurts feeling.... :( but that's why we went through all the trouble of getting surgery, right? i got that feeling today too. haha hopefully one day, we'll learn...

  18. aw im sorry. if you have any comorbities you might want to try appealing your insurance, because with a bmi of 44 a lot of insurance companies will cover the surgery, at least partially. sorry i can't help you more since i don't know more doctors in the dallas area... my doctor self-pay was about 12,000. if you look into a loan, i know there are a lot of really good student loans you can get! so that's a bonus. good luck with everything, let me know if you have any more questions!

  19. aw sorry you aren't feeling better. haha yeah luckily i can keep down the good stuff, it's the junk that makes me sick! haha like yesterday, it was goldfish that made me feel horrible all afternoon! but the lean ground beef, sugar free pudding, protein bars, all that stuff--- smooth sailing. so i guess i'm lucky that is how my body has responded so far. now cookies and ice cream, i'm sure, would be another story. but i'm trying to keep them out of the house. out of sight out of mind, right?

  20. aw well now thats just mean! :) you'd think someone would tell you not to be mean to the girl who, according to aerosmith, has got a gun...

  21. aw you are so sweet for the pic comment! how are you doing??

  22. awesome! yeah i got my first fill of 1cc at 4 weeks, and i am getting another fill jan 7th. so it's devo, right? that's a cool name. mine's jane... pretty plain and boring haha.

  23. chelsbels! i got home to my apartment and my scale, finally, after 2 weeks apart! this morning it said i was 226! that means on average i am still losing 2 pounds a week! annnnnnd now my bmi is 34.9!!! under 35 means "just" obese, not clinically obese! YAY!

  24. congratulations on goooooaaaalllll! isn't it nice to finally be UNDER your goal weight? haha after all these years..... can't wait for that day.

  25. DREW IS THAT YOU IN THOSE NEW PICS YOU POSTED?!?! looking awesome, keep it up!
