    Omg. Help me!

drew that's awesome! i am like 5 pounds away from being the weight i was in high school. p.s. i like your new pictures! very handsome, especially now that you are smiling... sort of. haha keep posting! you better be taking full body shots too!
  2. ok first of all, maybe i'm a little liberal on the topic, but i dont think there is anyone on this board that would call you a slut for the activities you described! a) he is your fiance, and in this day and age, people are doing a lot more than that with their boyfriends and no one is saying they're doing something wrong! there are some other threads on here where people discuss this, i suggest reading those. i think they are in "the powder room" forum. a few other women have experienced this problem after banding. i say keep doing what you are doing, but if you don't want to experience the pain afterwards then simply don't swallow? you can always talk to your doctor (or even the nutritionist!) about this, they are professionals and there to help you. i tried to keep this PG :grouphug: good luck, and good job with all your weight loss so far!
  3. haha well i read some astrological stuff in magazines, and apparently us pisces girls have full lips.... true for both you and me so far. :)

thanks so much! in addition to the weight i lost over the past few months, ive lost about 15 lbs since surgery 7 weeks ago, so about 2 pounds a week on average. just where i want to be!

    Counting Calories - Help

different people need different amounts of calories a day. so glad you found the daily plate! i have been using it for about 8 months now almost daily (i only don't when i am out of town and find it harder to get to a computer and/or guesstimate calories in unique foods) and i swear by it. as the site shows you, you will need to consume lower and lower amounts of calories as you reach a lower weight to maintain your weight loss, unless you are exercising more as you lose weight (which you should). i find the daily plate helps keep me accountable for everything i put in my mouth.... i tend to forget the bad things i eat otherwise. i actually just recently rewarded myself with --instead of food-- a gold membership on that site. i probably sound like i work for them or something but i just cannot say enough how much i LOVE that site! since my surgery 7 weeks ago, i have lost an average of 2 pounds a week, which is right on track to what my calorie goals are set at. it works so far! it breaks everything down to a science. good luck!

Is there really a "sweet spot"

wvgal, good for you for taking the initiative to get in control of your band! it is one thing to have surgery, but completely another to use it to it's full advantage. i really hope you like using thedailyplate.com and continue to use it. i find it is the only way i keep myself accountable for what i eat, and i have been using it daily since last march or so. i love it! i swear i'm on that site 10X a day writing down everything that goes through my digestive tract. knowing that i tend to stop eating once i am a little over my calorie cap for the day, i put it on the highest settings saying the amount i need to consume to lose 3 lbs a week. well, over the past 7 weeks since surgery i have lost an average of 2 pounds a week, so it's right! the only problem i see for you is that the daily plate only gives a cap for the # of cals you should eat for your body, and not a minimum. not enough calories can slow your weight loss, and eating only one meal realllly slows down your metabolism. hopefully you will get past your "diet" fix and find a healthier way to lose weight--- and lose weight you will. good luck with everything!!
  8. hey! are you going to the support group meeting tomorrow? (er, tonight now i guess! i'm a night owl haha)

  11. woo 49 pounds lost! go drew go!

  12. chelsbels! i got home to my apartment and my scale, finally, after 2 weeks apart! this morning it said i was 226! that means on average i am still losing 2 pounds a week! annnnnnd now my bmi is 34.9!!! under 35 means "just" obese, not clinically obese! YAY!

  13. hi! im doing well, i just got to my apt after being away from my scale for 2 weeks over the holidays, all this time im thinking i gained weight for all the holiday food... i wasnt going to weigh myself until the morning, but according to the scale 20 minutes ago, i lost three pounds the last 2 weeks... awesome considering all i had to eat today was airport junk! hope you are doing well, your bikini pic is AWESOME by the way!

  15. I agree with AliNSanDiego.... Jay Robb whey Protein Isolates - i like chocolate or vanilla... the best i could find, and it seriously tastes like hot chocolate mix. my favorite is mixing it with a sugarfree pudding. so good and sooo filling. it is hard to find, but if you see it... GET IT!
  16. hey! how did your adjustment go??

    No caption

woohoo such a difference already! love you pretty girrrrrl
  22. good im so glad everything went well! yeah its funny that the hardest part of the post op diet is getting ENOUGH food! total 180 for us, right huh? haha well once you heal you will get hungry... which is what happened to me until i got a fill. my first fill was a day before it hit 4 weeks. that helped me stay full until i slowly started needing more, so my next fill is at about 7 weeks post surgery (this coming wednesday). my surgeon's office does things differently and schedules fills ahead of time, so my 3rd fill is at 10 weeks post surgery, and i have a 4th fill at 12 weeks if i need it. hopefully in the next few months i will find the perfect restriction because right now i am trying realllly hard not to eat.. but my stomach is growling! time for an adjustment, definitely.

let me know if you have any more questions!

    CONFESSION TIME..spill it

sorry to hear that sNt, but also glad to hear it... hopefully the thought of having food painfully stuck will prevent me from even cooking or ordering the food in the first place after this next much-needed adjustment! thanks for going through the pain for me

    CONFESSION TIME..spill it

very true. thanks beth, for the encouragement! i had fun last night at new years, and when given pizza i gave my slice to the dog! shh-- don't tell! haha

    CONFESSION TIME..spill it

okay major confession time.... tonight i had a margarita (like 16oz total) , and i blame that for the reason why afterwards i had some CHIPS AND SALSA annnnnnnnd like 8 mozzarella sticks! thats like 1200 calories in one night! i was really concerned that i was able to eat that much without drinking during eating (i drank the margarita first) and i didnt get sick, so i DEFINITELY need the adjustment i am getting jan 7. i was with a bunch of friends who were all eating just as much as me (but they are healthy weights, go figure)... my size 4 best friend was able to restrain herself, i could have used a little bit of that self-restraint! anyways, im punishing myself for tonight! .... i told them i would be the designated driver for new years eve tomorrow. that way i cant drink and then eat crap like that! and we're going to a club where hopefully i will dance away alllll those calories... ugh. so mad at myself right now! i was doing so well over the holidays!
