  1. Happy 57th Birthday pattybear56!

  2. Hi Patty.. I am feeling like you about messing up and not making smart choices lately. I was just banded on July 22nd last month. I am now eating solids, and I feel like I can eat way too much. I go for a fill next week. I've lost 13 lbs. but I am now having just a little bit of pain in my stomach, not much, its almost like an ache. You don't think I've slipped my basnd do you? I know I have GOT to start making better choices, and I know that, but its hard when you don't really have much restriction. Any strategies? Have I screwed up for good? HELP :-)

    Symptoms of Band Slipping

Hi- Its been awhile since I posted- but the issue of band slippage has been on my mind- I went to a fill appointment with the intention of maybe or maybe not getting a fill, I really needed to "see" my placement, as I have made a few mistakes and was worried I had dislodged the band. My quantity of food was too large and I was sure I had screwed everything up...well, I ended up getting my 3rd fill last week (banding date was10/08/05 with Dr. Kuri)- I now have the magic "retention" finally and seriously can only eat 3-4 ounces of food before a PB attack(very painful and very convincing) - that, and seeing the band is still there - on the fluoroscopy ---well, I am back on track "mentally" and so far have a 40 lb loss. Happy days;) Patty O. Vista CA

    Slow Losers - Unite!

Hello- Please can I join you folks? I was banded 10/8/05 (Dr. Kuri, 11 mm "monster big" band) and have had 2 fills, last one right before Christmas @6.5 ml, yet I still am not restricted enough, and I am resisting the urge to go for another fill. I have lost 38 pounds which I am happy about but I lost most of it right after the surgery. 1-2 pounds a month since then seems very slow to me. But I know that slow is a good way to go, so I'm trying to be patient. The weight came on slow over the course of years, so at least its leaving faster than it arrived. Question? Is anybody else dealing with mental hungries?? :hungry: I am ready to gnaw the legs off furniture, yet I am not physically hungry. Good to share with you ...let me know if I am in this group. Sincerely, Patty Bear
