YES!!! I just cancelled my surgery today,and was scheduled for the 14th.I just can't go thru with it,and am not prepared for the total lifestyle change that you have to do with this surgery. I thought I was,but after a lot of soul searching and research,in which I did for over 4 months day in and day out,I decided it was just not for me.I know 3 people that have had the surgery and have done GREAT. Just because it is not for me,does not mean that it is not for everyone. I just know what is right for myself.I am not prepared for some of the problems that might arise after the surgery,and then again there may be no problems. I wish all of you good luck who take on this endeavor,because it is no piece of cake,and hope all of you meet or exceed your goal. Like I said it is just not for me.I was not worried in the least about the surgery,just the after affects. So, good luck to all of you bandsters,and go get em.

Surgery date July 14 Dr. Robarts St. Marys Hospital.

No, Joy told me today that I have to be there on July 1 at 9:00 am for a class that lasts a couple of hours and then after that there is something else that I have to attend. Yes, Joy is super as well as the dietician,and man I like dr. Robarts.I have no worrys about him doing my surgery My wife also works at St.Mary's. I am already on a low carb diet due to high triglicerides that I have to get done,so Joy told me today just to stay with the program from now untill surgery. See you are HERD fan,I am also,I bleed green always have. Season Ticket holder (many years),big green and everything else,and yes I am a member of HERDNATION. Nice talking to you and hope we can share this journey and maybe help each other out with some tips along the way. Good luck to you.

Yaherd,I just got my surgery date today for July-14. Did you have go on a pre-op diet? I know some people have to do a liquid diet,but they told me today that he does a low carb diet prior to surgery and not a liquid diet. Just wondered if you had to do this. Just a ltlle nervous,and was wondering what your experience has been like so far,and how you liked him and the staff,and how you have been treated. let me know when you get a chance.

Yaherd.who did your surgery,Was it Dr. Robarts? Just got insurance approval today,so I am not far off. Are you happy with it and would you do it again?

Do you have a surgery date from Dr.Robarts yet? I just had an appt. with him and his staff on Tuesday.

Dr.Robarts will also be doing my surgery as well. I am in Huntington as well.
