So I had my gastric bypass on February 25th. The doctor found a 1 inch hernia on my diaphragm while inside that he repaired. How it was missed before hand, I don't know. I had 2 EGD'S and an ultrasound of my gallbladder trying to discover the source of the excruciating acid reflux and stomach pain.
Anyhow, I was to be released the next day but that didnt happen. I was kept in for 4 days. My vitamin levels were low and the pain in my left shoulder was awful (due to gas and hernia). After leaving hospital, I went in Monday this week for infusion with 2 liters of fluids and today for 2 liters of iv fluids and steroids for inflammation. I'm concerned because I feel like I want to pass out a lot. I'm doing good at drinking my protein shakes and broth and my water, but I'm still showing that I'm dehydrated. I wonder if anyone else has had this problem?
On the upside, I have lost 18 pounds! That makes me happy. I feel like I need to figure this out so I can get over this hump and really get to work on myself. If anyone has any suggestions I would really love some advice.
