I am new on these boards too and I definately don't know how to navigate them. I really enjoy reading the posts they really do help to know I am not alone in my struggle. It is so nice to be able to find friends all around the world. We are anticipating a trip to Vegas in March and would love to meet you if I could. I will let you know when we know for sure. Keep up the good work and keep the support coming my way. It really helps.

I was banded on the 11th also and I returned to work on the 19th. I would of liked to of stayed off longer but couldn't afford to do that. It is hard to go back to work in pain and it must be harder to go back to a job you dont like. Hang in there, you can do it. I do believe you should try to be more friendly towards the employees as you do have to work with them. Then when you are feeling better, you can see about getting another job. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

It happens to a lot of us Vegasgirl. It has something to do with the drugs used during surgery and the iv's used. Somewhere I read that your first true weight reading after surgery would be two weeks out. Hang in there, you are doing great. -

So glad everything went well for you. Roses, what a sweet Doctor. I stayed overnight also, and wouldn't have wanted to do it any other way. Congrats on the surgery being done. Can't wait to hear about your adventure. -

Mine was on August 11th. My Grand daughters Birthday. What a present for Grandma. I hope everyone who has or will be banded in August the best of luck. -
My surgery was on the 11th and I didn't have a bm until yesterday the 14th. I agree with you, it was very welcome. Have had some gas, but gas-x has taken care of it, Thank God. My muscles are sore now. I go back to work on Tuesday and hope everything will be all right. That is also the same day I am to start my mushie stage. A little worried about that one. Hang in there, it does get better.

It doesn't make sense to me, but I had to pay $250.00 for the psycologist, $200.00 for the nutritionist/exercise person and another $325.00 for the final preop visit with all three. My insurance covers it also. They say these are fees that they won't cover. Tricare Prime for me. I am in my first week of 4 weeks of journaled diet. Hoping to have the band done in August. -
Cath went well. I have cardiac cleareance. I see the nutritionist and exercise specialist on July 3rd. Then the final visit with the doc. I am getting closer. Thank you for the support.

I am working on getting everything set up for Lap Band Surgery. I have been to the seminar. I have seen the Psycologist. I am having a heart cath tomorrow to make sure I have cardiac clearence. I am hoping that I have the surgery in July, but so many hoops to go thru. I have enjoyed reading the posts as they help me understand what will be going on. Good luck everyone. I am in Tampa Fl.
