Can I just say I'm so thankful that cheese has so much protein in it, or I might never hit my goals -

That's awesome! I just hit the 30lb mark since surgery, but 50 if you count the preop period. I finally got back to work walking dogs though so I'm hoping the extra exercise will help speed things along and get my muscles building again. I hope everyone is doing well! -

I'm in the DC area, so we have had a ton of confirmed cases this far. Always annoying being in the middle of a local state government/federal government fight, but hopefully feds will get on board soon and actually do something to help. Schools here are closed for the time being, the DC mayor has declared a state of emergency, and courts are starting to close. Plus, no sports to watch! -

I got cleared to eat all foods last Saturday and frankly it's made everything better. I'm less afraid to try new foods and I'm obviously eating a lot better than during stupid pureed stage. I've had chicken thighs, lamb, ground beef, and I'm going to try chicken wings today. Not sure on my weight loss cause no scales on vacation, but I'll weigh myself next week. Glad everyone is doing well! You all look awesome! -

My family is doing burgers and hotdogs on the grill today so I'll also going to be trying it. Mustard has been my go to "liquid" on dryer stuff. It's made a huge difference for me, so we'll see how it goes today. -

So it was my turn to make dinner for my family, so I made these salsa verde corn tortillas with home made corn tortillas and salsa verde. My family loved them, and I scooped the chicken out of mine and ate it with the salsa and cheese. I also made cilantro lime rice, corn salsa, and "easy tortilla chips", but didn't indulge inn any of that. Trying new foods is so much fun now! -

My doctor said dry meats can be really hard after surgery so generally with poultry, thighs go much better than breasts -

Good God, I had my first real meal with my family last night, and my mom made a giant beef tenderloin, and I ate a whole piece (not sure on weight, but probably less than 2oz), and I was nervous, but I chewed it well and it was so good!!!!! And I barely felt it at all in my stomach. I'm so excited to be eating real solid food again. I hope everything else goes just as well. Tonight I'm having chicken thighs! -

I'm not really concerned about calories right now. I'm probably getting around 500 a day on average. I'm more concerned about protein intake. Weight loss is going to happen, I'm just concerned about making sure my muscle mass doesn't deteriorate too much, so getting my 60-80 grams of protein a day is my biggest concern. I'm also still doing a shake every day cause otherwise I can't get it all in. -

Dinner tonight was ground chicken tossed in taco seasoning, and put in a bowl with some hummus! I missed hummus so badly! And this was delicious and about 21 grams of protein. -

Unfortunately, I seem to be experiencing my first food aversion to tuna. I used to love it, and now I'm finding it hard to stomach. Been eating canned chicken instead, but not the same protein wise. -

I did it very basic in butter on the stove. Maybe a minute on each side, or less. I then drained of a much of the excess butter as possible and lightly salted it then added garlic powder and mixed them all together. Very tasty! -

I tried shrimp today. Went really well. It sat is my stomach super easily. I got down about 2oz before I decided I was done. I'll eat the other 2 ounces for dinner. 24 grams of protein in those 4 ounces, so much! -

I measure out between 3-4 oz depending on what the food is, and I usually get it down, but it takes me 30minutes to an hour to get it all down, and sometimes it's a struggle. I'm still doing a shake everyday, because I cannot hit my protein goals on food alone. -

@rene50 @Uomograsso congrats on graduating to solids officially! Those meals look so good! I'm seeing my surgeon next Saturday, as I'm hoping he'll clear me as well since I'm leave that same day for a week in Florida with my family. Would love to eat a little like a normal person. Good luck with everything moving forward! I'd love to hear about the new foods you try and how they go -

That's awesome! I used to foster also, but unfortunately, my rescue is a single dog only. He appreciates being the spoiled only child and doesn't take kindly to his love being divided. Love him to death! -

Oh interesting, I might look into that. That's what I used to take, but I was concerned about the gummy nature -

What multi-vitamin is everyone taking? The one I've been taking, given to me by my nutritionist is a chewable that's chalky and nasty and I think I think to change. Thanks!
