jami.1992 reacted to Smanky in Surgery Shaming Should Be A Thing…
I will never understand this bizarre notion people seem to have that an "easy way out" for weight loss is a bad thing even if it did exist. Like... why does it need to be a struggle to be ok? Do we need weight loss to be some epic f***ing crawl across a flaming desert of despair to be acceptable to people who aren't involved? Does my head in.
Makes me inclined to answer "my own hard work" when asked how I lost so much weight. It's not anyone's business anyway.
Also: you look AMAZING! Seriously. And that top you're wearing is gorgeous on you!

jami.1992 got a reaction from Ralphie in Alcohol 3 weeks post sleeve op.
Rude comments are unnecessary. She asked a question in a forum made for ASKING QUESTIONS. If you don’t have anything helpful to contribute to the post then move along.
I personally don’t see the issue with having a drink. I would suggest starting with 1 drink and seeing how you feel. Remember to sip slowly as it will hit a lot harder than what you are used to and worse case scenario if you do dump you’ll be able to feel it coming sooner if you’re sipping versus drinking faster.
I hope you enjoy the wedding and spending time with your friends! ❤️

jami.1992 reacted to NovaLuna in Night time and my fat brain wants to eat.
I'm reading your post as it's about 2:30 AM where I live... and I'm eating lol. My nutritionist knows that I have f-ed up sleep patterns due to my health issues and although it's not really the best choice to eat at night it's not the be all and end all if you're hungry and not just snacking to snack. If it's a bad habit of yours to eat at night just to snack and not due to actual hunger then yeah I'd consult someone, but we're only human. We can fall off sometimes, but the point is that you recognize that it's a problem and are will to work on it. Don't stress yourself out! Admitting a fault is the first step in correcting a problem and that doesn't make you a failure at all. If it's a problem then work on it. Get help if you need to. We are only human, thus mistakes can and will happen. You got this!

Sadly, as lovely as your outfit is @DaisyAndSunshine, you may have to say a fond farewell to it. It looks way too big for you all over. But how wonderful is that. Whoo hoo!
Cute shorts @jami.1992. I was the same about shorts too. Showing my knees or anything higher was frightening. Now I own a couple of pairs. You certainly have the legs to wear them.
Look how narrow you are @huskymama in your bright summery dress. Love how you said you’d ‘released’ 52 pounds. Lol!

Gifts from friends who know me and my style so very well so they challenge me to wear more than black 🤡.
I know I’m biased but I believe we have the most supportive and genuine digital community and I’ve made the best friends here ❤️
(P.S. please ignore my catch-all baskets/open bags & boxes everywhere 😂)

One of my favorite outfits. It fit me when I was 220 and it fits me even now, though better and little bigger, may need little adjustments.

I was 417 when I started, currently stuck at 278, but it will go, I just have to be patient. Pic next to car is Sept 2020, pic with the palm tree is from April of this year in Florida. 54 pant size, to 42 pant size, 5xlt shirts, to 3xlt shirts. Big change!

Still can’t believe it’s me in both pictures! I’m literally less than half the person I was before and feel better than ever! 16 months post op ❤️

jami.1992 reacted to SAD HATTER in Vaping after Surgery
As a former smoker, I took up vaping to rid myself of the bad crap in the ciggies. I have gone 0 nic with my juice leading up to surgery. IF I ever go back to nic, it will be really low. Unless you have smoked, you just don't know how hard it is. Plus, vaping is not as bad as people make it out to be. In the end, very low nic is about as harmful as caffine.

jami.1992 reacted to fourmonthspreop in Before and After Pics
Tomorrow is my 3 month surgery anniversary. I've lost over 70 lbs on this journey through the pre and post op phases. The before pic is not even from my highest weight, that was about mid 2020 but I got up to the 340s at one point.
Today I'm proud to say I fit back into a non plus size XL. From an XXXXL/22 to XL! I'm so happy to see the results beyond the scale.
I tried on two new shirts today to check my progress and was shocked to see them fitting.

Found a pic from my heaviest and made this comparison. Can't believe how far I've come.
Also if u were wondering I blot out my hands because I have discernable tattoos on the sides of my fingers lol
