Where do you get off insulting Australian's, no offence to all the other people in this forum, but I only found 2 aussies the rest where american. You are just getting personal now and very offensive. Please just go away into another forum and leave us all alone you clearly don't agree with anything here so no-one really care's what you have to say. -

 How dare you hop into a forum about something you obviously don't agree with lynlie77 and then judge every person there. I believe narrow minded people like yourself should stick to things they know more about and leave people who are not hurting anyone alone. Everyone says it is okay to drink achohol why because it's legal, do you have any idea how many people die per year from achohol related accidents/diseases. Go away and leave us alone. -

roxyrip2002 replied to lellow's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hey everyone back again, well its been 3 and half weeks and Ive lost 10kg and I feel great, there is no more pain and it so good to feel normal again, the scars are healing normal and to answer you question mrswal husband/wife relations are better than ever. I am so happy I have done this I know now it was the right decision. -
Hey Ladies, just wanted to say hello and wish you all good luck. I have been banded now for 3 weeks and have lost 10kg (22lb's) I am over the liquids and mushy stage and am slowy introducing normal foods into my diet, I feel great and I agree with you too Pat I didn't tell anyone about it except for my hubbie, kids and Mum. People just love to give their oppinions and quite frankly I don't hear them. Anyway I am sure you will be really pleased with what you are going to do and if there is anything I can do to help just ask, I know things might be abit different here in Australia but the overall operation is the same. Anyway goodluck.

Thanks for the reassurance, I did the shopping today and it was really hard pushing a shopping trolley fully of food around and load it in the car, I can't wait to feel normal again. Just out of curiousity is the port site the large incision in the middle or the slightly smaller one next to it? -

Hey everyone, well I am on day 7 and still can't bend over, it took me about 20 minutes to put my boots on this morning. I don't know if something is wrong or if this is normal. I can do general stuff but I can't bend and have abit of pain. I read about all these people who went back to work 1 or 2 day's later and am thinking now am I just a woose or shall I ring Dr Watson. -

Hey mrswal well I did it, I had the surgery last friday and already have lost 5kg, I know it's probably all fluid but hey it still looks good on the scales. The day after the surgery I felt like sh*t, I can't lie to you, you have a really bad feeling of reflux and obviously youv'e just been through surgury so your not feeling the best but each day get's better and now on day 6 I am feeling pretty good, it's still hurts abit but as long as that reflux feeling is gone you can cope, they give your really good pain killers in hospital anyway to cope with it. When you get home buy some Mylanta from the chemist and that will help as well. All I can say to you is go for it you may regret it the day after but then each day get's better and you realise that it's the best decision you could have made for yourself. I wish you all the best and keep in touch I'd love to know how you go. Dr Watson is great as well he is one of the nicest doctors I have met in a long time and every story I have heard about him has been a good one. Good luck -

Hey everyone I am going in to be banded by Dr Stephen Watson this Friday 8/8, guess I'll miss the opening ceremoney of the olympics oh well, I will have to admit I am abit nervous, I really hope I am doing the right thing. I have 3 kids and a husband and am more worried about the cooking for them afterwards and how I will handle that. I have no idea what I am supposed to eat as it has all happened quite fast, I researched quite abit but the straw part of it sound really hard . Dr watson say's I have 30kg to lose but personally I would like to lose about 35 give or take a few, Anyway wish me luck, this is the beginning of the new me. -
Hey there, nothing to do with the fills, just noticed that you had your band put on by Dr Stephen Watson and I have an appointment with him on the 31st July to talk about the proceedure. I am really quite scared about the whole thing and my BMI is 38 not 40 like they recommend so I don't even know if he will consider me for it. Can you tell me whether or not he is good and possibly make me feel better by sharing your experience. Don't mean to be a pain but I thought it couldn't hurt to ask. Cheers P.S. I agree life does begin at 40, I will be 40 in November and want to look good for it.:wink2:
