To cut or not to cut...that is the question?
losingwgt posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgery was in March 2008, I have lost a total of 122 pounds. I have gone from a size 26 (tight fit) to a size 12(lose fit). My waist was 52 inches and is down to 32 inches. I have revenge of the skin! :cursing: I have exercised the entire time, well, that is once I realized that I would NOT lose weight until I started exercising! Walking has truly been my redemption! Now, I have this lovely skirt of skin...I am not sure if I should cut it, or if exercise will ever shrink it? What is your opinion? I especially want to hear from you if you had surgery? I need information regarding pain, scars, recovery time, etc. -

Thank you for your comments...I have become a little self-conscious regarding my weight because it is always the subject of conversation...I purposely didnt tell people that I had weight lost surgery, and needless to say, people will talk. I can feel my band bulging from underneath my rib cage!

I have accomplished my wgt lost goal!!! I am so excited! My doctor told me in Oct 2008 that I needed to reach 180 pounds...this seemed like a mountain of weight to dropped from my 300 pound frame...well, now I am 174 pounds!!! Yes! It wasn't easy, but it is so worth it! -
I am down sixty pounds and countless inches from my stomach and midriff area...I never felt my band before because there was so much fat...as I get smaller is my band going to protrude more? Also I am finally exercising hour per day, and the fat is shrinking FAST! Is it possible to lose the wrinkling, puckering, dimpling, aka cellulite w/o surgery? YUCK!:cursing:
