No it will not be like this all the time. Believe me it does get better. Go and get either the maylox or get Gas X Strips. That will help with the gas. But if you are really concerned call your doctor and let them know whats going on. They can tell you what you need to do. good luck and hope that you feel better.

Seriously you need to call your doctor ASAP. Until you get to see him I would just go on full liquids. you do not want to keep throwing up you could damage your band. Good luck and let us know how you are doing.

Hi MarylandMommy, You may want to reschedule that appointment until after you get back from vacation. my doctor will not do fills if you are going to be going on vacation within 2 weeks of a fill. Incase you find that you are over filled. Does your doc know you are leaving for vacation? If he doesn't then finds out at your appointment heor she may not fill you until you get back. Please just becareful. You want to enjoy your vacation.

Mike I am so sorry. You should call Kowalski's office. sliming is just gross I hate when that happens. What I did was take a very small sip of Clear liquids then wait a few minutes before I took another. How fast are you drinking the half ounce. I was only able to do about 4 sips in about 15 minutes or I got the slime. This lasted for about a week. Then I was able to get things down better. Sounds like you are very very swollen from sugery. Hope that you feel better. I myself am calling Kowalski today to get an unfill. UGH I have only been able to get HOT clear liquids down since a few days after my last fill which was on tuesday. Slime slime slime. YUCK... The one person mentioned the Gas X Strips get them they help... Let me know how you are doing.

Nikole I was told after my surgery to be on Clear Liquids for 3 to 4 days then move onto full liquids. The tomato soup is just probably to thick for you roght now.Do not throw up... You just had surgery you do not want to rip and stiches. Just walk it off it will go down. LOL my stomach never used to growl now it does ALL the time but it is really loud after a fill. They have gas X strips now. They melt on your tounge. That will help a lot with the gas and you do not have to swollow it.. I hope you feel better.

Mbrocato Ok I have done this myself. Now I was banded in March 2008 and I have lost only 23 pounds so I am one of the slow losers but thats ok I have lost so many inches its just crazy. Are you working out at all. Also the doctor will tell you that the first 6 weeks after surgery is not for weight loss but for healing. Keep that in mind. When do you go in for a fill? I am getting ready for my next fill on July 29th. Hoping I hit my sweetspot this time. I have 5.5 cc already in a 10cc band. Keep your head up you have lost 13 pounds in a month that is fabulous. Tp

Hi Slimgirl, I would just die if I did not have my coffee everyday. IE migraines. I ask the doctor and nutritionist if Coffee was ok. They said in moderation. The reason they stated that is becasue Caffeine is a diuretic. And since you are restricted they would rather you get in Water then coffee since water will hydrated you and coffee can dehydrate. I just make sure I get in 64 oz of water everyday and have my 2 to 3 cups of coffee with splenda and fat free creamer. Just my insight.

Hey Mike, Ok I do not think they will let you walk home. The Nurse wheeled me from my room out to the parking lot. Just so you know when I left I was very dizzy. Probably from the pain meds. I only live about a mile from there and usually walk there when I have an appointment. But I would not have been able to do it right after surgery. No I had to do the liquids for a week. so not to bad. Honestly the pain was not to bad. I went back to work 4 days after surgery. Please let me know how you do. If you have any questions let me know. make sure you get chicken broth for after surgery. let me tell you after not eating for so long it was like HEAVEN. :thumbup: tp

The best workout dvd's that I have used are t-tapp and taebo. t-tapp you can find at www.t-tapp.com They are wonderful and do not hurt your joints. Taebo is great also for gettin gout frustration. Either one will help you lose inches and tone. Good luck

I just wanted to introduce myself. I am new to posting but I have been reading this forum for a while now. I was banded March 13th 2008 in Philadelphia at Jeanes hospital by Dr. Kowalski. Ok so here we go I have a 10cc band and have had 3 fills so far. I am at 5.5 cc. Going in for my next fill on July 29th Since surgery I have lost 22lbs. Not a whole lot but I am very please with it. I have PCOS which make it even more difficult to lose weight. I have been working out a lot and I have lost a whole bunch of inches. I am paying more attention to the measuring tape then the scale right now. This make it easier for me to deal with the SLOW weight lose. So far I have lost Chest 44.5 now 38.5 waist 43 now 37 hips 50 now 43 thigh 30 now 23 Trish:redface:
