  1. You may actually need more calories to jump start the loss again. Your body is in starvation mode. I bet your stall will be gone in two days of eating soft foods and hoping calories a bit. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  2. I had a reaction like that to a surgical glue once. It was awful. I used hydrocortisone and it went away in a few days. Oral Benadryl too. Of course I'm not a surgeon so you should definitely get their opinion. But I have had his happen in a prior surgery and every other surgery since I told them I had this allergy and they used something else and I've had no issuws. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  3. I am so sorry for you. I know it sounds lame but there are so many people struggling. You are not alone. Eventually life will return to normal and you'll be back on track with your surgery. It's hard to see a light at the end of this but I'm certain there is one. Hang in there. You can do it. We're all stronger than we know. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

    January 2020 Surgery Folks

Yeah it's definitely a difficult time. I'm 8 weeks out this coming Monday and averaging 2 pounds a week right now. Surgery weight on 1/27 was 246. I was 218 this morning. I'm definitely snacking a little more here and there but trying to drink more fluids and still get out and walk. Hang in there. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

Do you like tea? I have morning tea with an individual packet of either vanilla or unflavored Vital collagen protein (7 g) with a little honey and splash of milk. Its not a ton of protein but does replace the morning routine and I get a little caffeine from the tea. Plus, the Vital blends really well into drinks. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

Yeah I know guidelines are different for so many things during these surgeries. Obviously I recommend everyone follow what their surgeon said. I definitely didn't push too hard too soon. I did have the calorie reserve even I wanted to. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

Yup like I said everyone is different! I had no abdominal pain after 3 days and even that was minimal. I left my RNY surgery the day after like I never had surgery. I'm very lucky. He said i could use the weight machines, knowing I couldn't do barbell work any longer due to three wrist reconstructions I had. I was a competitive lifter before so I think being in good shape before (despite some extra weight) helped me have a very easy recovery. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  10. I was a vegetarian for years... Unfortunately I had to rethink it after being anemic and low on pretty much everything prior to surgery. I'm sure it doable but I had to go back to lean, well sourced meats and fish. Post op I just couldn't get enough protein. I hate shakes. Like haaaate. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  11. Haha you'll be eating them soon! I was so happy to start mush at 3 weeks! Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

My surgeon released me to the gym and weights at 2 weeks but everyone is different and I think a lot depends on the shape you wee in before and how well you handled surgery and recovery! Good work today! It definitely took me a few weeks if slowly and steady increasing endurance. And of course now we're all stuck in! Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  13. Yeah I haven't had one in ten years either. It's just your body adjusting. I still have some issues in the bathroom and it's been 7 weeks and I'm eating normal food. You'll figure out and tweak your new norm as you heal. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  14. Haha do you still have a gall bladder? That may be causing some issues as well as it adjusts. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  15. Hang in there, it gets easier! I had little to no pain at all but man my new stomach had some words with me haha. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
