well, I guess there was more "waste" in my body than I thought. Just weighed myself again, and I have lost 2.5 this week! YAY! I now have less than 100 to goal!!

Back from Arizona now, weighed myself this morning. I am down 1.5 this week, was hoping to be down 2, but I'll take what I can get. Things are going alright. The service was really nice. I gave the eulogy. That was hard, but I was glad to share some stories.

you're going to have to play around with your calories eventually. I have to have around 1500 to keep losing. I drink milk to keep up my calories, and if I'm desperate I get a frosty. It really seems to work for me. It just depends on the person, some people need less than 1000, and some people need 2000. Good luck finding the right amount for your body!

I think Miss California showed great character by standing by her beliefs! I respect her so much for holding true to them, even though it was not popular. I agree with her. I believe that when two people are committed to each other, that they should be allowed to have some of the same rights of other couples. I do NOT believe that they should be able to change the definition of marriage. Why does the gay community insist on calling it marriage? Why are they pushing for that particular word? It almost seems like they are forcing their lifestyle on the rest of the world, and are upset when we don't want it. For example: The whole Prop 8 thing. When the people of California voiced their opinion through voting, the gay community was in an uproar. They are always talking about how they are being oppressed, and how they want more rights. But when vote took place, in a legal and fair way, where they could exercise their right to vote, the people of California made a choice. EVERYONE had the right to vote on Prop 8, and the voters made their decision. Everyone has the right to their opinion, and Miss California was brave enough to state hers to the world. I really look up to her for being that courageous!

I am down 2.5 this week. It was 3.5 but I have been eating bad.

My Dad passed away this morning. Yesterday he was taken to the hospital because he passed out. He woke up shortly after losing consciousness, but my mom insisted on having an ambulance come to get him. They drs determined that the problem was blood clots. They put in a screen to help, but couldn't give him any blood thinners because some of his tumors are bleeders. I got to see him before and after surgery. This morning, DH and I were on our way to go see him again when my Mom called to tell us he was gone. This has been unexpected, and I am not sure how to handle it. I am doing alright, but I am not sure if it has really sunk in yet. I don't even know why I am posting this, but I just need to get it out I guess.

I am so sorry that you are going through this. You will be in my prayers.

You might try waring bulky shoes, and heavier clothing for the weigh in. Also try eating a sodium filled meal the night before and drink a lot of water. That might help! Good luck!

You are definitely in bandster hell. This is the time that your body needs to heal from the surgery. It is a hard time, cuz you can eat pretty much anything. Don't stress about losing right now though. It may take a few fills until you even feel restriction. It will drive you crazy for a while, but eventually you will get there. You were strong enough to choose this path, so I KNOW you are strong enough to see it through! Good Luck!

Don't worry about the pop. I have had several, and have heard that it is probably just scar tissue. Don't stress about it. You know, stress can make it harder to lose. So like slinderella2b said, RELAX!!! Enjoy the journey, and don't worry.

Don't get worried yet! You are doing great! It took me 10 months to lose 50lbs. You are trying to find your sweet spot, I understand. But give it a bit more time. I am filled to 5.7 now, and finally have strong restriction. Give yourself a little slack, and don't worry about what other people think. This is YOUR journey, and YOUR body is different from theirs. You are doing great for being less than 2 months out!

I lost 3.5 this week, not too shabby. Actually, it's a pretty big loss for me. I have been really tight, so I attribute a lot of it to that.

I had a fill a week ago and was fine, but the last few days have been bad. I bite my nails, and am worried that they might not go through. It kind of feels like there is something plugging me up. I guess my question is, Has anyone had this problem due to biting fingernails?
